I think the problem here is that, Everest content, and intern, Everest rewards don’t roll out monthly. This content is so, just not enjoyable to 99% of the player base, and well, that’s just it for us for like 3 or so months. It’s a long time to be bored.

Also, with Mike, guys, it it happens, we all could say things better at times, dude apologized right away. It happens. There was no way they were going to build an entire sale around a character (which is thee problem in MCoC currently) and release for free two weeks earlier. Clearly a misspeak.

This would have been in development for months right? Its not like HT and Thor were put in by accident. Its unfair to put the blame on Mike alone because how this appeared to not raise a red flag for any of the employees managing or watching the stream speaks to how horrific the communication is within Kabam. Feels like Mike was just left to take all the blows.

Yeah this is a Kabam fail. I doubt he would have been allowed to tell anyways.

The bigger part of this fail though is it woulda been a great way to inspire people to do the content as HT being here would have given everyone access to him, not just spenders, a current toxic trend in champion acquisition.

I think it was difficult to divulge specifics of champ exclusion without revealing more details about the defenders in the quest themselves. So I can understand they didn’t want to comment about specific exclusions like they did with DThanos.
Having said that, everything else with this quest is a huge missed opportunity. Massively restrictive content for some rewards with poor effort:reward ratio. It’s an easy pass for me. I play the game for fun and this is not it.

If they were actually a real company you could hold them accountable for lying. But games have no oversight and Kabam lies to us everyday.. at least i know now its 100% impossible to acquire a new champ from this worthless content

For additional context, this Quest was designed well before the Heat Wave sale was in development, and the rewards were designed after the Quest was finished.

So then Heat Wave was being discussed alongside development of WoF, otherwise why the monetary gate for old MVP science champ?!

This goes beyond "I worded it poorly." At the time, you knew full well who the defenders were, we didn't. At the time, you knew Thor Rags and HT were defenders. We didn't. At the time, you said, without caveat or reservation, that all 12 defenders were in the selector. At the time, you explicitly said Deathless Thanos would not be in the selector, showing that you knew full well how to explain the limitations of the selector to exclude certain champs.

Yet despite all this, you stated unequivocally that all 12 defenders were in the selector.

That's not an "oopsie." That's intentional misrepresentation and misdirection.
There is quite literally zero benefit in trying to intentionally misdirect anybody, about anything -
Genuinely zero.

I did not say: "Hey, Torch is in the selector."
If I did, everything you're saying here would be 1000% correct.

In the moment, I accidentally said there was a selector with one of the 12 Champions, instead of saying there was a selector made up of Champions in the quest.

It was a mistake, and that was made known immediately when the content went live, and I realized that.
There isn't more I can do for you here aside from apologize for the mistake and take accountability for making it.

These will be my last words on the matter.
If it truly were a mistake, it should have been clarified immediately after the stream. If you did that, no one would be upset. People misspeak, I get it. But your job is literally communicating information that Kabam has, and we don't. When you let those types of statements linger without correction, you lose credibility.
