This is like when the football player drops the ball celebrating at the 1 yard line and doesn’t get the score. Yeah it sucks because it’s something so simple, and all you had to do was finish the quest. Don’t celebrate early and next time make sure to finish the quest.
No, your alliance clearly lost this war. They scored more points than you. Also probably not a good idea to shame yourself and your alliance on the forum.
Looks like your team pulled a JT. Dropping the ball at the one yard line, so instead of getting 6 points, they get zero and the other team gets the ball at their 20 yard line.
So we clearly won this aw match but no one moved to the last glowing node so we lost. I think that kinda sucks
This isn't a technicality as reaching the end of the map is a requirement for completion points even in classic war. Failing to move to that node will prevent you from getting the completion points for the map, even if there's no actual defender placed there.
This is a special case of a more general "technicality" some people fall for in war. Even if there is no defender on the spot, you must move through it to get the attacker bonus credit, both in classic war and in the experimental map. There have been alliances that have lost wars because the other side did not place a lot of defenders, and the attacking alliance thinking those points accrued automatically simply failed to scoop them up. Failing to capture a spot, even if no one is there to defend it, is not a technicality, its the explicit rules of alliance war.
