When BGs gets Tough

I have fallen from grace in BGS from Arcane down to Uru 4. This was a direct fall. I did not win any fights in between.

What strategies can be used to climb back up again.

Valiant with decent roster.

my advice would be to take a break after 3-4 losses in a row as it just puts you in a bad frame of mind amping up the pressure to turn things around

Change the time of day you play.
I find that between 5pm-11pm PST things are pretty competitive, but around 1 am PST the competition gets easier.
Of course I don't know where you live, so you'll have to transpose that info to your local time zone.
It might require changing jobs or your sleep schedule.

Sometimes mistakes compound but understand it’s a lot more about luck than skill. Draft outcomes can take your advantage or a straight up competitive match into a big disadvantage.

You can’t ban everyone, and if your hard counters don’t show up and theirs do,… there’s not a lot you can do. Saw someone here compare BG’s to more of a card game at this point which I think is apt.

If you aren’t a whale or uber skilled, there are just matches you are gonna lose due to draft luck and not having a plethora of options. Play poorly on a couple others cause we are all human, and hello losing streak.

Stark spider is an almost guaranteed win in battlegrounds

AI helps you to build the charges easily and with 10 charges, you can kill the defender fairly quickly before defender gain any significant power

If what you mean by “fell from Arcane to Uru” means that you initially got to GC when there probably wasn’t even enough total people yet in GC to fill up the Arcane levels.

So naturally, anyone who got to GC and did 1 more match would have been put into Arcane early on (“current” position, not a position you actually “achieved” until end of season when placements are finalized).

Whether you had gotten to (example) 20 GC Points while being in Arcane, vs being in Uru, is all the same. It is still just 20 points.
And your position is not ultimately determined until end of season when your final Points are ranked.
