Spider Woman or Silk?

With the Titan available for some time. now, who do you think is better, and why?

Yup yup, after pulling spider woman and r3ing her this morning, I can confirm she's not touching silk Titania and ham on attack. Its really not even close. Damage wise at least.

Only top science champ i'd say shes better than on attack is photon. But that evens it out because she's a dual threat while the rest are purely attackers.

That being said, after reading her kit, only thing I can say is a threat is her fumble and small chance to evade but we've all fought spider gwen without a counter before and as long as you're not just brainlessly mashing buttons shouldn't be too difficult or at least just use an evade counter.

As for the fumble shouldn't it be easy to play around by ANTI BAITING the special 1? The sp2 seems pretty easy to outspace as long as you keep your distance when trying to bait it.
I haven't fought her ever but reading her on paper she doesn't seem such like a big deal on defense.

How is she not even close to them lmao. She has more utility than Ham and Silk and her damage is comparable to both while being guaranteed unlike Hams, there’s no rng to her power stings. She’s also hitting like 25k mediums with class disadvantage and her sig lets her make those furies passive so even when you can’t apply debuffs she hits hard. Only thing is she does want high sig because she’ll retain all the fury buffs as passives and gain them on intercepts so your damage skyrockets. Not to mention she’s one of the champs who can heavy counter Zola

And she’s still very annoying to fight on defense having fought her without a counter. That evade really messes you up and if she does throw the sp1 you’re in trouble, especially since those power stings take effect through the block. She’s not the most insane defender but she’s tough if you’re not using a counter
Silks basics hit harder let's not even start. She only hits hard when you're punishing a special attack which is only one hit. You're putting it like she also hits immensely hard on basics in addition to her power stings.

Yh she'd probably be closer to them in a battlegrounds setup where an sp2 sp1 rotation would be enough to take out 300+. However 2 sp1's was still struggling to kill 500k health which silk and ham can in 30 sec so damage.
But thats besides the point, what do you mean she's got more utility??? Maybe more than ham. But what utility does she have?? She's counters enchantress thats it. Her ensnare is a 15 second wait to get up which lasts for 7 seconds. Silk can get her slow which counters evade and unstoppable. She doesn't counter unstoppable and miss she just gives you a 2 second protection in the form of evade which goes on cool down for 10 secs. So you're not using her for FOOTLOOSE. That debilitate which happens to be an exact RPG counter to enchantress is what you're calling utility?? She can do alot of fights outside the sci class tho so she's definitely a good champ. But yall have got to come down when evaluating new champions lol.

As a new defender, she's going to get you kills because people are going to need experience when facing her to get better at fighting her.

She as well as Jean, bastion etc are experience what we call new champion hype where every new champ gets placed on a pedestal and gets alot more credit than they're deserving of as long as they're not totally useless. After the hype dies down, we'll see how well she does.
Silks basics hit hard, yes. Spider Woman hits hard on basics even without the boost, she can kill ROL opponents in under a minute easily without even utilizing the power stings damage at all so she’s got really nice damage too

2 sp1’s are easily enough. If yours is not awakened and a decent sig you’re literally losing out on a ton of damage because she retains her fury passives when you have her duped

Please show me Ham and Silk doing the fight in 30 seconds. I saw a max boosted and suicides R3 Ham with a synergy team and it took 27 seconds for ROL WS

She has poison immunity, neutralize immunity, she can take the power denied from MD, she has ensnare which stops a bunch of stuff, and her safety for unstoppable and miss is clutch. She also does have a built in auto evade which can save you in BGs

And yes part of why she’s so good is her versatility outside the mystic class. Mystic isn’t that tough when it comes to defense. She has the range to take Zola, she’s a really quick onslaught nuke, and she’s one of the few science champs who can take bullseye decently well

You were also placing Dazzler on a pedestal when she dropped and downplaying Deathless Thanos so I don’t think your track record is amazing

Not denying how amazing and valuable Silk is, she’s still a top tier science champ but I think Jess is on her level and she can be used as a defender. I guess we’ll see but I had to do this same thing when Silk dropped and people were calling her overrated

I'll take my L for Thanos tho. Who Surprisingly I actually think is the best champ in the game arguably. I consider him to be better than serpent.
That comment was also aimed at champs like scream who YOU and alot others put on a pedestal. She did not survive after her initial hype died.

You know who else can take zola and onslaught and even counters them better, Silk? And bullseye? She may take him on paper but why would anyone wanna use her against Bullseye, he also reduce power sting damage with his dupe.silk can also take photon and even stalls against serpent better than swoman. Spiderwomen needs more time , at first glance she's awesome but definitely not someone I'll rank over silk or even ham.

Her dupe has ABSOLUTELY NO RELEVANCE for this matchup and is mostly helpful for mystics

Oh my god did you even read her dupe? Her sp1 converts fury buffs into power stings so you lose damage. If you have her awakened she retains her buffs as passives so her damage skyrockets. It has nothing to do with mystics

Mine is only sig 50 so less than a 50% chance to keep the passives. Even with that she did this. At sig 200 you are GUARANTEED a fury buffs on intercepts and guaranteed to convert all buffs into passives on your sp1. At sig 200 she’d be faster easily

And even top tier players like Bero and Lags screw up against spider woman on defense

And I’m saying the hype is worth it. I don’t think silk is a lot better on attack, I think they’re around the same level. And if you’re counting Spider Woman needing the dupe as a downside, sure. But she can hit just as hard and takes just as many meta defenders

Why do people still use the ROL argument, it's an unboosted 4 star champion with no nodes and no sp3, of course they are getting blitzed by a champ that benefits from having enough time to setup damage. Besides that though silk has more utility and better damage in short fights. For utility silk doesn't use the dex mastery, can heavy mid combo a safety evade, an evade and unstoppable counter when duped, Regen reversal (though it is small) and that's about it. She can counter a lot of defenders with those small pieces of utility. Her best fights meta fights are onslaught photon Zola kindred and Jean grey and she can do those fights very well in a short amount of time without much problem. Jessica is definitely the better enchantress counter but outside of that silk is just better with a more practical utility kit. Ham is better than both of em in bgs and I never really got the disrespect about him on defense. He punishes you for parrying when duped by placing a popper and stalls you from using specials and he is a damn great attacker doing a lot of hard fights with minimal effort. Imo ham is just a better duel threat or at least better on defense because when he evades he goes unlockable and stalls you with a popper, Jessica only has a non-existent fumble and an evade that is very easy to deal with.

Silk for me. The sheer fights she can take just by dunking trash cans on the opponent is just wild. Silk is one of my favorite onslaught options too.

Most likely, and Ham will also be better imo. He is actl a really underrated defender in certain metas imo, and his power stings are so much more accessible (although there is a lil rng) than SW, so he also takes most matchups faster than SW
