Parry stun after punishing special

is it just me or is it happening more and more often when you dex a special and you want to punish it you get parry stunned by the defender it happens really often

Certain specials are built to do that if they push you too far back. Specials like Sassy SP1 just pushes you too far back and he recovers too quickly for you to make up that distance.
