  Don't take it as an offense these characters are not even real it is just a term used to describe how good CHARACTERS are in a GAME.

  Marvel itself "borrowed" some names and designs from Norse mythology, like Odin, Thor and Loki, yet I never seen any fans of that mythology offended by that fact.
