They are giving him away for almost free in the realm event. Cant remember the last time they gave out a free champ that was top 5. Useable champs? They’ve given out a lot of those, but not meta top 5 champs

I think some of you are sleeping on the fact that it took what 6 months for the buffs to go live? There is no way it takes that long for them to take him from trash to mid lol also I just don't think Silk's utility from the awakening is that crazy anymore. If I want heal reversal I can just use Nefaria or Leader, and that slow isn't really that insane other than maybe for Enchantress but I have Spider Woman for her, and for the rest of champs with unstoppable I'd rather use QS since his slow is indefinite and who I also have in my deck already because of Dark Phoenix.
So yeah, for me personally, taking the risk is worth it because that Silk awakening really isn't a big deal. What if both Patriot and MODOK end up being insanely good after their buffs? I can easily just pick MODOK from the selector instead of having to decide which one.

That's not almost for free tho, that milestone is one of the final ones and there's a chance we won't even make it there. This isn't like a saga chase or plat track where the 7* is guaranteed for very little effort, getting to that milestone is not gonna be easy.
Also the fact that they're forcing us to pick one of the two further supports the idea that they won't be just usable, if they were just that then they would probably give us both. Not saying they'll be top 5 but I'm definitely expecting both to climb up to top 10-15 in their classes.

I think some of you are sleeping on the fact that it took what 6 months for the buffs to go live? After fighting HE six times in the last 24 hours, I’m not sure I see the 5/5 rating. On a stun immune node, yes, he would be a pain. And he will stall to slow down fights in BG. But I was expecting something considerably worse.

Back on topic, I took Patriot into RoL yesterday in honor of this thread. Did about half the path and I still cannot imagine what they were thinking. The current kit just has no purpose at all. Maybe they thought reversal was so cool that everybody would lose their minds.

The 5/5 rating means he’s more of a defensive stall similar to Zola. Who did you use for him?

For the valiant gauntlet, I took him out with Odin, Serpent, Medusa, Mole Man, Okoye and one other skill. Can’t recall if it was Sable or NF. Just didn’t seem like that big of a deal.

— or just use someone who counters autoblock, like Odin, etc
