Dark phoenix showcase degen?

On my run thru the mutant quest everything was fine until I hit kingpin. I’ve read the nodes etc over and over and I can’t figure out why I’m getting degenerated to death. Didn’t happen on any other fight and I have not been hit by any of his specials.

What am I not understanding? Please help this dummy out haha

it’s bugged, same thing as no surrender, you take damage for the degen that is on the opponent, but not every time. It seems to be a 50/50 depending on the defender. No reason new content should be released with an old bug that’s been reported multiple times over the past few months

Sorry I just noticed that someone else brought this up in another post about bugs.

Hopefully kabam will fix this quick and maybe toss some revives our way. Now I guess I’m stuck in limbo unless I want to quit and lose all my progress

I think it may be based on defenders that can degen in their normal kit maybe? We've seen it reported the most with Dormammu, who can deal out degen. Then earlier today we saw Vox, and now Kingpin, and they can both hand out degen. An interesting puzzle.

Just had this happen to me, no problems in cosmic quest or until Kingpin, but just died fighting him

Add Gorr to that list as well, it's basically any defender with degen. There's obviously a pattern here what's crazy is they still haven't fixed it even after saying they did, I'm about to go in right now to see if it happens to me or not.

yeah it appears to be champs who have built in degen, I wonder how something like this possibly happens, how does an effect on the opponent damage the player?

Same problem with Kingpin.

And I think it's not 50/50 random bug. I tested this fight with all of my attackers: all dead from degen

In first show case I remember there was random bug, but now this Kingpin is straightforward broken

So I just went back in and can confirm it is still bugged. So annoying. I really don’t want to quit what was a perfect run up until this point

Yeah KP def bugged. Even with the degen only had to revive once with Dazzler.

@Kabam Crashed @KabamPinwheel @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex so how many comp packages are you guys sending like four? Everything is still bugged including the stuff you guys claim you fixed.

Just curious tho who did you use or plan to use for Attuma? I brought omega red but I’m thinking maybe prof X would’ve been a better choice. Don’t have a high ranked namor

Just happened to me, came onto the forums to complain and look what we have here!

I get the idea Kabam is going for, honestly with all the events going on right now the game would be very fun, but I'd much rather have just one bug-less event than what's going on right now

Can anyone confirm if the degens are still happening as of this morning? Clearly didn't fix anything as of last night even though they said they did, absolutely embarrassing whatever comp package they're planning it better be better than the one from that one Raids cycle with the bugged Weapon X, all these bugs + the current Raids one are worse than anything else the game had going on back then.

Just happened to me against KP. Had no issues against any other fight on either path. Just the KP. If you keep the degen charges below 10 you can do the fight. It's a bit longer but once you get past the protection timer you can drop him. It's not the intended way to fight it, but it's a work around

Yup! Stuck at Kingpin and it's either I quit and start over when it's actually "fixed" or lose the ability to play other modes like the apothecary. There better be comps because some of us used revives at first thinking we were not playing right when the problem was bigger than that.

And, it is random apparently. I did a run through and was blocked at attuma. This is my second run and can't get past kingpin.

If you keep the defender under 10 charges then there is no degen. It's not very difficult with these defenders with their long sp1s that you need to back up for anyway.

Styfe works well. Ignores damage back in mediums

You can use storm and land only parry heavies. Use wags prefight otherwise attuma goes nuts. Apoc horseman also helps too.

Had this happen to me. Took 3 revives before I could take KP down. Same thing happened when I fought Gorr but luckily he was down before the degen could finish me

Happened to me against kingpin today as well, lucky it only kicked in when I nearly had him down so I just used another champ for the finish.

It’s happening in valiant eq as well and it’s a problem in the other class showcase which has roadblocked me in those two quests until Kabam start doing their one job and sort it out.
