I HATE BATTLEGROUNDS!!!!!!!

I have fought about 30 battlegrounds matches this season. EVERY SINGLE ONE I EITHER FOUGHT ONSLAUGHT, ENCHANTRESS OR BULLSEYE. Usually more than one of them and often all 3.
There is zero fun to be had. You just need to hope that the computer allows you to pick a counter for the same **** fights over and over again.
But if that's not enough. Every single account I go up against is somehow stacked with R3 and R4 7 stars. No matter what level I'm on. Diamond 5, you're going up against a stacked account. Platinum, stacked account. There seems to be no limit to these stacked accounts and even if you fight perfectly you simply lose because you take longer to win the fight because the health pool of your opponent is triple yours.
Now I know a lot of these accounts are cheating and no matter how much Kabam says they've gotten rid of a bunch of cheater accounts, they don't seem to have the capability to get rid of all of them or even most of them.
So just call it a day Kabam and fold this God awful game mode. NO ONE ENJOYS IT. We just play it because it's basically the only way we can get T4A and rank up our champs. Please Kabam figure out a different way to get people to spend money that isn't such a waste of time on everyone else.

This is coming from a Valient player. I'm not coming from a small account that just can't hang.

I agree that BGs should get shutdown but every other point you made is wrong. Actually, I just reread what you wrote and also agree with the final sentence in the first section.

The gamemode is by design meant to be competitive. But at least for vt kabam NEEDS to fix matchmaking - matching up someone with 2 rows of r4 7* against a paragon, fresh valiant, or pretty much any ftp player is unfair no matter what way you look at it

If you hate fighting those three specifically, why don't you simply ban them when they come up? You've got three bans. Seems like a fairly easy solution.

I have two very different answers depending on what you're main complaint is. If it is that you are constantly facing stronger accounts than your own, I think that's a pretty justifiable complaint. Kabam also recognizes this and are (IIRC) working on a new BG mode that's a bit more casual.

However, if your main complaint is that other accounts simply have those champions, then my advice is unfortunately just to find counters for them and put them in your deck. I don't think either Onslaught or Enchantress really require any specific counters to take them down, even if they have a tendency to stall things out for a lot of less-ideal attackers. But it's generally doable with a lot of champs. Bullseye needs a more direct counter (or at the very least a bleed immune/resistant champ), but we've gotten several of those in the 18 months or so since he first arrived in the game.

Part of the competitive element that is inherent in Battlegrounds is ranking up both defenders and counters for your opponents' defenders. Even if Kabam finds a balance were you'd only ever face people on your own power level, chances are that they would still have those champs ranked up. Just not as highly as some of the higher-level accounts that you're facing now.

It's that the same as when they were "working on" upgrading the act 6 rewards which is 7 months in now and still doesn't exist or when Kabam was "working on" making battlegrounds fair only for them to "oops we placed everyone in the wrong tier and it's more unfair than ever and then did it again a second month in a row, oops again lol"?

Neither Onslaught nor Enchantress or Bullseye have few specific counters. The former two can be taken by almost anyone reasonably, and Bullseye has a LOT of counters at this point (hell I just won a match against him in GC using Ironheart). If you really want to have bans available for actual pure RPG counter problems like Serpent, maybe you should try learning to fight Onslaught/Bullseye/Enchantress?

All this to say, just get better at fighting. We can't be globally blocking certain champs just because people like you haven't learned to deal with them. I'm sure if you asked other, better players they'd advocate for blocking champs like Serpent and Dark Phoenix because beating those guys is purely dependent on who you bring.

If you're putting war machine in your bg deck then you shouldn't be playing bgs as you clearly have no idea what you're doing.

Onslaught is simple to fight, bullseye has many counters, the only annoying champ is enchantress and that's because of the pure rng of the fight that can screw you from the get go.

People put them on defence because you can screw up against them. Same way people put fury on defence. He's not a difficult defender to beat but 1 mistake can cost you the match.

You just need to get better at the game and stop putting war machine in your deck mate

One of them was on purpose. The other one was not. And they simply decided to leave it be and let people stay in the higher starting points because grinding sucks. All your comment and crying thus far had led everyone two very simple conclusions. One, your not progressed enough with a diverse enough roster. And two, you apparently lack skills to fight certain champs. Go practice. Long story short, git gud.

It is competitive, if you don't have counters to hard defenders and can't ban them all then you need to build your roster up more

So unless I've fully completed act 9 I shouldn't be able to use battlegrounds?
The mode Kabam chose to be important enough that it's literally the main focus of how to progress in this Summoner fest event.
I wonder what percentage of players have fully completed act 9 and are worthy of playing in this game mode. Our perhaps we're just fish food for the whales to beat us and waste our time in unfair match ups so Kabam can make money?

P.S. I didn't really R2 War Machine. It was a joke as I was trying to emphasize that no game mode, especially not such an important one for your roster, should be dependant on who you pull in crystals. If it's a competitive game mode let it be competitive based on skill as everyone here keeps saying and not based on "I have 3 rows of R4 monsters, so you'll never win these match ups unless you go spend $10,000 and get a few rows of R4 champs yourself"

Higher starting point? What are you talking about dude? 90% of people didn't start in any higher starting point, Kabam purposely put majority of accounts in a much lower starting point. Most in diamond 4 or 5 even though they've already achieved platinum or above.
And yes grinding sucks. Kabam knows this. That's why people were so pissed that Kabam didn't fix it and just assumed it was a money making endeavor for them.

Listen Y'all, I get that it's a business at the end of the day and that they need enough ftp players to build opponents for the spenders. It just sucks feeling taken advantage of. But I know my complaints won't actually do anything. I know Kabam doesn't care and won't do anything unless they lose money. That's why i was hoping that all those YouTubers that were threatening boycott over this exact issue a few months ago would have had some balls and actually gone through with it. Then Kabam was listening and actually doing something. Us as a community need to stand up against this **** but instead you have a bunch of junkies here defending their drug because they don't want it to go away even if they're being treated like s**t

You know what I don't do when I dislike a game mode?
I rarely play it, unless there's a reason to.
I don't care for incursions, so I only play it when there's a special event tied to it, like this month's incursions, or if I'm extremely bored.
Arena? Again, only when I'm extremely bored.

On a good note, they talked about creating a "farm league" for bg's, for smaller players, or just players in general who don't want to do the grind of facing whales all day.

On a bad note, until they get that done, it is what it is.

I agree. I always hated Battlegrounds other than that one season when the YouTubers were threatening boycott, when it was actually fair and good.
So I never really play it. I would do the required 3 fights every 2 days and if I lost all of them, I wouldn't care.
But Kabam keeps trying to make it more and more important by tying the Summoner fest progression to winning 3 fights entry 2 days instead of just doing the 3 fights and it's been frustrating people because it's unfair, not fun with the same fights over and over again and there's clearly still rampant cheating.

Then all the complaints will be about the worthless rewards in there since the highest tier rewards will still come from the highest competitive play.
