breakdown of doom cycle and why this type of gameplay needs to go away forever.

the game mode isn’t fun to me, some people may think it is because everyone is different but the fact is doom cycle has no place in mcoc. it needs to go entirely.

zero champion knowledge required – mcoc is about mastering kits, counters, and synergies. doom cycle throws all that out the window. you're just tapping to pump numbers.

no actual combat – it’s a completely different game genre slapped onto mcoc for quick monetization. you could replace doom with a cookie clicker skin and it would function the same.

progression is fake – the “build-up” mechanic is just a grind loop padded with timers, delays, and paywalled tickets. there’s no strategy. it’s manufactured difficulty.

ticket system is predatory – limited runs + paid tickets = straight monetization of frustration. kabam knows it’s bad, but as long as people spend to skip it, they’ll keep doing it.

low-effort event, high-profit bait – the entire thing screams "how cheap can we go and still make money?” it’s recycled design, low dev cost, and a fast cash-in.

people paying for it are the problem – as cheap as it is, if you’re dropping cash to speed through this, you’re sending kabam the exact message they want: "make more of this garbage." stop enabling it.

this isn't just “trash” it's actively bad design, and the only thing worse than the mode is pretending it's okay just because it has decent rewards. i care about gameplay not just watching rng auto fights and paying to skip content.

i've loved this game for nearly a decade, please don’t ruin it.

This much outrage on simply a gamemode that you can easily ignore is crazy,
It also gives good rewards for minimal effort so won't advice to ignore.

you completely missed the point or chose to ignore it. it’s not just ‘something you can easily ignore’ — they purposely stuffed it with great rewards so we can’t ignore it. that’s the issue. it’s low-effort, off-brand content shoved into the game with insane rewards to force engagement, not because it’s fun or good.

acting like that’s fine is how we keep getting more of this lazy design.
    “We can’t ignore it”?.
I have since last Wednesday when it was released,..did one run of it for 15-20 minutes and I haven’t been back since,.,and I won’t for the remaining tine it’s available.
I don’t think the rewards make it worth playing the mode,.,(it’s that bad),.,so i don’t.
    …see?,.., it’s easy.
okay, you proudly missed the point, downplayed the problem, and acted like disengaging makes you wise, when in reality, it just makes you irrelevant to the discussion. here’s why:

i’m pointing out that kabam jammed valuable, top-tier rewards into garbage content specifically to force players — especially competitive ones — into engaging with it, whether they like it or not. It’s not about skipping it, it’s about how this tactic degrades the game design and sets a horrible precedent.

kabam’s entire goal with this kind of content is to test how little effort they can put in and still get engagement by attaching bait-tier rewards. players like you ignoring it does nothing if thousands more cave and buy arcade tickets.
No one is forced to do it.

You're not competitive to begin with, if you were you wouldn't whine about people having bigger decks than yours in BGs 🤡

As for all the whining, if you don't like it don't do it, miss out on the rewards nobody's forcing you to do anything you don't want to do lol.

you’re the same guy who said 'i don’t care if the content is trash, just make it easy and give me rewards' — so yeah, we’re clearly not expecting thoughtful takes from you. some of us actually care about the game staying good.

If it's a monthly quest yes I don't care cause monthly quests have been trash for years regardless. At least the rewards finally improved since they clearly can't keep monthly side quests interesting without making them repetitive and grindy. Also before you take this out of context again, I don't think Doom Cycle is trash I like mini games in general, what I didn't like was how grindy it was.

All endgame content done and you're struggling in Arcane? Like I said, you're not competitive to begin with stop pretending you are lmfao.

I don't know bout the beef between you guys but if he went to arcane then I'll say he's quite competitive lol. That's like top 5000 bg players, or top 5% Valiants if we assume no of active valiant accounts is around 100k.
I'm currently in Quantum and I still don't consider myself competitive, for me competitive is Mysterium and above. Arcane doesn't really take that much effort if you're an endgame player with a big roster, I even faced people who still had 6* in their decks in Arcane when I was on my way up to Quantum two days ago.

you're not forced to brush your teeth either, but there are consequences if you don't
Consequences to missing a couple 7*s, some 2* Doombots, a few Units, and a Titan? I'd be curious to know what they are.
    They are the consequences lol.
There definitely are consequences but it's not like he's missing out on a r4 or even a r3. Op is acting like he is 100% forced to grind for the rewards even if he doesn't like the game mode, he's not at all, the rewards aren't really game changing. They're insane considering how easy the mode is but I'm sure he'll survive if he doesn't go for them.

Anything under Celestial isn't competitive. In other words, the Zola dude is trying to rank shame on a mobile game forum while being in the lowlo ranks.
That is correct, I don't consider myself competitive either, which I already stated myself. The difference is I don't whine every week about whales having bigger rosters and getting stomped in Arcane-Quantum.

you keep obsessing over whether i’m competitive like i specifically even said i was — i never claimed to be. i’m pointing out a design flaw that affects everyone who plays this game seriously. if your only filter for feedback is ‘you not competitive bruh lmfao bruh,’ maybe you’re not actually equipped with the mental aptitude to have this conversation.
Good so we got that out of the way, you're not competitive, you just whine about BGs constantly.

I play this game seriously, so do other people you just can't fathom the fact that some people actually liked something you disliked. You have the mental aptitude of a six year old, grow up and accept that some people will like the things you don't like, which is perfectly fine.
i said competitive players (not just bg players, players who want to stay at the top of the game for wars and join top alliances with all of the new meta characters ranked up) are being forced into bad content with top-tier rewards. you somehow turned that into a bg rant, made it personal, ignored all context, and still think you’re making a point. you’re not.
The thing is, I personally don't think it was bad, it was meh, neither good nor bad. Someone else said they liked it and you told them they have Stockholm Syndrome lmfao you want everyone on these forums to agree with you. You're not looking for a debate or a discussion cause you've already made up your mind.

The amount of effort you spent raging about this could've easily been spent getting 825 units and 20k titan shards.

it's about not rewarding lazy, off-brand content so kabam doesn’t keep pushing MORE of it. you thinking ‘it’s not that bad’ is exactly why it’ll keep happening.

not whether or not i need to do it to get it the rewards, i don’t think we need any more content like this in the game.
Like I said, you can't fathom the fact that some of us genuinely didn't dislike it and are leaning more towards "it was alright". Anyone who doesn't share the same views as you on this matter is wrong.
