To those saying "you don't need to plan anything or a spreadsheet" I guarantee you will, some of these fights are roadblocks without a proper counter and the whole thing is almost 99% guaranteed to be 7* locked in legendary difficulty because allowing 6* would be way too easy.
I'll be posting an extensive list with all the 7* options for every fight that requires OR is easier with a counter tonight, if anyone wants to use it good, if you don't oh well 😀

7 star locking it would make it impossible for 99% of the playerbase. It'll be 6 star minimum at most
It should be impossible for 99% of the player base. It’s endgame content.

Bro wof with midass rewards and way more restrictions got 7* locked. They have all reasons to 7* lock this content.

There are 64 boss fights. They are most likely going to be atleast 800k+ health pool. I dont think it will be 7 star locked

Something like this is really help for someone like me.

But from the look of this, I would struggle with some of the Def here if it was lock behind 7* gate.

    Red Skull
    Diablo
    Ebony
    Hercules

And that is just Chapter 8.1

Yes, but this is out of date and there are many more options these days. For red skull, you gain 200% attack when he is poisoned. You can also bleed and stun him to gain a poison (which will be difficult as he is basically stun immune), but Beta Ray Bill is a good counter here since his armor breaks are not not armor breaks but pulverize, so is Onslaught because onslaught destroys a stun immune red skull. And venompools sp1 om nom I don't think counts as nullify so he would be a great option.

I'm saying that 7 star locking it when a lot of the fights are so restricted would make it much more about pulling specific champions which i thought people didn't like

@Chopper153 thank you sir for this. I'm still working through Act 8, in chapter 3 as of recently after finishing the Bahamet fight. I haven't done the first crucible yet, but have heard how much fun it was via Rich the Man.

Not really, I'm gonna post the list later today it's really not as restrictive as you're making it sound and I'm willing to bet you haven't even taken a closer look before saying any of the stuff you've said so far. I thought it'd be really bad at first too but I underestimated how many 7* we have in the game now. If you're an endgame player (which is who this content is for) you will have enough options, the fights are nowhere near as restrictive as WoF and a lot of them are perfectly doable without counters. For example, there are nodes that say "the defender takes 200% more damage while poisoned/shocked/incinerated etc" but it isn't a must the fights are perfectly doable with champs who don't apply those debuffs, then there are other fights that are literally just class based you don't need a specific champ just a champ from that class, even the final bosses from each chapter can be done with anyone with proper gameplay. The only fights were you really get roadblocked are the ones with hazard shift or caltrops but even those can be done with literally any champ with immunities you still don't need strong counters because most defenders are vanilla except for two or three on each chapter. It's 100% doable for any endgame player, saying it won't be doable for 99% of the playerbase is a big overstatement, go and look at the fights and nodes yourself it really isn't that bad. If anything, it would be very boring if we weren't forced to use only 7*.

You don't absolutely have to use only those attackers tho, those are just the best options that make the fight easy and quick but there are other champs who can still do it even if it's slower and a bit harder. Neither of the defenders you mentioned are really a roadblock from what I can see:

Red Skull: still gets cooked by cosmics like Galan Knull Beta Ray Billl Dark Phoenix and Gladiator and you can even use other more niche options that ignore his tankiness from the armors like Vox Fantman Werewolf and Chavez. The only thing you can't use is anything with armor break.
Diablo: literally anyone who shrugs off debuffs or is poison immune will work, worst case scenario if you actually don't have anyone just use someone with many shocks like Shuri or Iron Doom and that fight will be over before those poisons can even kill you.
Maw: you don't even really need a counter, degen resistance and buff immunity will help but you can also use someone with easy access to stuns so you can throw heavies often and he'll die really fast. Silk, Red Guardian, Titania, Jack, Bastion, Angela and any other champ who can Parry non contact will be an MVP here not sure why they're not mentioned there.
Hercules: anyone who crits often absolutely cooks on this fight but it can be done even with champs who don't crit often, this fight is so vanilla that you can probably even do it with a tech champ like Shuri who doesn't crit til she ramps or Shocker who doesn't crit at all.

It really isn't bad, people just need to think outside the box and plan accordingly, that's what Crucible is about and that's what made it so much fun last year.
