So now that it was announced that it is happening this year, what will be the items in these red pockets/rewards for the gifting event.

When/where was it announced?

Traditionally they include money. But my guess is it will be similar to the event that ran last year and include shards, gold and other stuff.

And it was announced in the 17.0 update thread.
