Alliance Wars: Seasons? Great! But how about the individual players?

Hey @Kabam Miike I know I've given Kabam flak before, and I'm sorry about that. I was wondering with a new system like this for alliances, is the Game Team developing something for individual players? I would like to participate in a Free-For-All type event where there's a live leaderboard system, similar to the new Alliance Wars: Season. I was thinking of a "Beat the Boss" type of system for individuals, where there would be 4 bosses to beat within a month, 1 boss per week, and there would be rewards at the end of the month for the different qualifying times. Thoughts? If people don't have a shot at getting some juicy rewards with their alliance, I am sure they would love a chance at getting some rewards through their individual skills.

Test of Valor was an individual event (for the most part). Just join an alliance. Why hold back on joining any longer?

I say no. There are enough other places like Legends runs in month quests that appeal to the individual players.

Jokes aside, I wouldn’t want to see this. Just another opportunity to give the whales an extra 6* crystal a month while the rest of us gets <1000 shards

There's two separate issues to unpack here: the notion of a one vs one alliance war-like event, and the rewards associated with that event.

I'm generally in favor of the former. Details matter, but I see no harm in it. More gameplay options is generally a good thing. As to the latter, the rewards for a solo event must be far lower than the rewards for the full alliance events. They would have to be closer to what you can win in the arena than what you can win in an AQ or AW or it will unbalance the incentives for participating in full alliance events.

Legends run in a month does not equal individual skill unfortunately: if you have a good phone, a stacked roster (ex: 5/65 Blade + SE/GR synergy), you’re set. If Alliance Wars is going to be competitive, I would like a competitive FFA system as well. The rewards don’t have to be crazy like @DNA3000 said, but something for individual players to play and enjoy.

So, a time attack individual boss challenge would not pose an advantage for an individual player?

I think what some people who have proposed this kind of thing are looking for is more direct competition. When the players compete in the game, it is usually indirect competition. We all fight in the arena, but not really directly against each other. Alliances compete in AQ, but only indirectly by attempting to accumulate points against the computer. Alliance war is a more direct form of competition: the most direct form the game can currently support. The computer still controls the defensive champions, but it is our attackers against your defenders and vice versa. It is far more head to head than in AQ, where our alliances are indirectly competing to place higher on the leader board for better rewards.

A head to head one v one competitive game play mode would mimic AW in some respects: I would somehow need to defeat your defense with my attackers and you'd have to defeat my defense with your attackers in some mode of play. There's lots of different ways to do this where the players would feel they had more control over both sides of the competition and could gain advantages on both sides of the fight.
