yeah I’m gonna bring this back to the top. Pushed too hard to just keep seeing a bugged out game (current unanswered and uncommented on raid bugs, loading times, and dropped inputs left and right) and previous bugs get swept under the rug like nothing ever happened. Broken titania was swept under the rug like “that’s how she was designed” knowing good and well that isn’t the truth. I throw an sp3 and suddenly the fight takes 30 secs longer even tho that’s her intended playstyle…legit about to take her out of my BGs deck. And so abruptly…in one comment…nah…a fix that actually fixed at this point would be a positive…maybe even a win
this thread already reached Reddit and got over 130 upvotes. They need to hear the community out. Like I said…I usually am open to listen and take a step back…but this isn’t cool. Community isn’t happy and there are receipts lol. They need to make good on their word
Yes. Look at this Kabam handling of forum layout. Who asked you people to change forum layout? You guys are pathetic somebody had to say it. Why did you changed forum from 1st form for decades and then to another type and now this WE DIDNT WANT THIS WE ARE ONES WRITING ON IT. why you guys allocating time and resources on this absolutely useless update? Is it a liberal thing? Make change because you a few people are bored with it? If I was the CEO of this company I would fire you idiots who are wasting company resources and players time doing all this nonsense work. instead of actually making the gameplay better the buggy as hell mechanism better, but noooooooo. We all know this, you will not FIX godly AI we all can see it you are all greedy bunch that wants the trickle down little bit money you can extract from this AI deleting players champs from no fault of their own. I know it im an engineer by profession.
Kabam didn't change the forum layout, their provider did without telling them.
Also, you're an engineer by profession? You mean, like, you drive the choo-choo train at a kid's park?
What ? my comment of firing you all hurt you a little? And you think I drive a choo choo train? 😆 If I was driving a choo choo train I would be struggling to make a living in this day and age and let alone playing this game. But as it so happens I don't rely nor worship my overlords in my company LIKE YOU here and praising and defending kabam with a pedestrian ID lol all the time On a game forum. Better start finding a new job because as Kabam is behaving lately it's getting clearer day by day they are milking as much as possible before shuting shop. Or atleast DOWNSIZING. so focus on fixing the game and shut the h up on your customer because without customer you all wouldn't have a job.
P.S - Totemcorruption is long lost brother of Demonzfyre and rest of Kabam shills
Keep it burning fellas!
They’ve heard the “community” based on the fact that Mike has commented on this post. The message from kabam is “your opinions don’t matter”
As far as making good on their word- you mean the words where KM already provided his own receipt of how they said they’d take it to the game team to discuss. Clearly they discussed and decided that it wasn’t warranted. It would be better of you to change it up and complain about their decision to not give compensation but you’re making out like they promised it and then reneged on it. Personally I’m not affected by most of the bugs so I can’t sit here and say I think compensation is deserved but others seem to have suffered a lot more than me and for them, something would have been fair. But the bottom line is that there is nothing coming. Time to move on.
30k radiance 4.5k units compensation,
Let's go Kabam !!!! 🎉
What are you talking about?
Where compensation?
L word 🫢🫢
Kabam racking up L's like those sandwich shop punch cards. 10 L's and they get a free L
L take. You missed the point. One singular abrupt comment over multiple platforms does not constitute listening in my opinion. Then again, it’s my opinion - everyone’s got one. Fact of the matter is game is still bugged to high heavens and we’ve had to deal with it ever since the end of July - other than the mini comps that came out for the complete outages. All this small stuff adds up. If we just let it roll over and let it go the same thing is just going to keep happening over and over again. It’s honestly a bit manipulative for them as company if you look back
Bump bump bump it up !
Just wondering how long they are gonna let Raids go on bugged… and the crystals they sold be bugged… just wild
my alliance mate just said game was down for a min. Not sure if it’s back up
edit: it’s back up. Not sure what the outage was for
We all know that if those crystals gave more 7* than intended then that'll be fixed under half an hour
Remember when there was a bug that gave everyone 1250 mythic crystals and they instantly banned everyone to fix the issue. I remember I got 5 seven stars from the crystals and ended up keeping two of them.
Hello pot, I’m kettle.
I’m back to missing the old community team. 0 useful information since an atom bomb on the community.
Like no offence but I genuinely don't know if Dave is still working at Kabam, I fear that I may have missed some news of departure or something. I remember him commenting a few times after announcing his role as a community manager but just a few weeks passed and I never saw him again in here.
Then again, I get scolded by GroundedWisdom for claiming the game is dying which is in fact clear for anyone that wants to take an objective look at the situation. Whole game is falling apart, there are massive problems in all directions that remain unadressed still. And its not an abundance of "AI is bad" posts either, just take a look around the forums and you'll see all kinds of issues being mentioned. Some people even commented on a Beta Ray Bill bug from 2024 today, I'd like to think that they're just trolling but probably not.
Things are not looking great, we are left alone with our worries regarding the future. We'll see how things escalate in the upcoming days but I honestly don't have any hope left at this point. I feel like I'm looking at a sick man lying on his deathbed, trying his hardest to hide the pain he's enduring and refusing to speak to those concerned with his health. Maybe a bit of a dramatic depiction but the image should be clear. At least I'm glad to have met him and I'm forever grateful for the memories 😪
Lol did you see the number of post for those rebirth x2 crystals bugged?...
The game is "dying" as soon as they come up with a sale people can't wait to throw money at them.
Guys the fact that Mike made it clear. They even haven't discussed it and chances are there won't be any.
Look at how the game is running, a whole month of raids all of them bugged, and what do we get right after that? Another bugged raid. The compensation was what? A few revives for us to finish. The equivalent of someone making a mess and then handing you a mop so you can clean it.
Seems like the only way to get their attention is by insulting them, so they can answer back with a snarky comment
You definitely have a point and I could write down why I think the way I do but I'm too tired to even use the forums. I also don't expect compensation of any form, if Kabam cared just slightly about community sentiment they would have done so many things much different than they did. I just felt like commenting over mentions of the lack of communication which is just incompetent behaviour.
What I'm basically saying is that the frustration will overcome the addiction eventually, its happening now and it will keep affecting more and more people. They're obviously focused on short term profit and it is for a reason, there is no future. Maybe not tomorrow but it will all fall apart sooner than most would expect. Heavily invested people may tolerate all the issues for now but at this pace even they will stumble at some point. Also the communication is a lot bigger problem than people realise, even worse than all the bugs and AI issues. Something is obviously wrong and we'll find out sooner or later.
Not cool when we get 2 "I quit" videos in a week either, I will quit very soon as well for example. Community response is far worse than what forums depicts and we all know that this place is also dying. Just such a mess all around that will keep getting worse until it can't take anymore.
lol all this fun and modders are back in force in BGs. Can’t wait until the live stream so we can hear about all the magic beans they have for sale and continue to get 0 substantial infoinformation
Modders are out of control, faced 3 in the last couple of days, the stress was not worth the radiance; good thing their illegitimate download source detection technology worked so well!!
Arguably the worst I’ve seen things in my memory, and on top of it all nobody there cares. I guess we enjoy what we can while it burbs to the ground
It’s sad to see a game that just celebrated 10 years — a game financially supported mostly by whales and loyal players — continue to disregard the very community that has carried it this far. Over its life cycle, Marvel Contest of Champions has made over $2 billion, yet it still suffers from the same recurring issues: bugs, lag, input failures, and poor performance. Ten years should have been more than enough time to resolve these problems.
When players ask for compensation, we aren’t asking for anything extra — we’re asking for fairness after losing units, money, time, and energy due to problems outside our control. Instead, Kabam acts as if we’re demanding something unreasonable. That’s not just dismissive, it’s disrespectful to the people who have kept this game alive for a decade.
The frustration is compounded by design choices that feel like deliberate gatekeeping. Farming revives, potions, and other essential items has been stripped down as much as possible. Champions that need buffs are hidden from quests and events until after they’re updated, then suddenly appear everywhere. Nodes and encounters are engineered to require specific counters, making the game feel more restrictive than strategic.
Meanwhile, new champions, modes, and events are rolled out as distractions, but they don’t address the core issue: the base game runs poorly and has for most of its existence. At this point, broken inputs and lag aren’t exceptions — they feel like features of the game. How are players supposed to be excited about unlocking new champions if the mechanics don’t even work consistently? It’s like driving a car whose engine only runs two days out of the week.
Even community figures like Karate Mike, who are supposed to bridge the gap, are caught in the crossfire. He’s seen at times as an “enemy,” not because of who he is, but because he’s stuck trying to put out a wildfire with a water gun. That speaks volumes about how deep the frustration goes.
Kabam has created an “interesting formula” that still works for them financially right now — but is it sustainable? I doubt it. Without accountability and real investment into fixing the game’s foundation, it’s only a matter of time before the community walks away. No amount of flashy new champions or temporary game modes can hide the fact that the engine of this game is broken.
If Kabam truly wants to listen to players, the next community survey should ask directly about game performance: lag, inputs, and mechanical stability. I think they’d be surprised at how many players still experience these problems every single day — 10 years later. What the community is asking for isn’t unreasonable: we want a game that works. We want accountability. If Kabam met us halfway, we’d gladly meet them there.
Signed someone who wants to see the game thrive but currently is more frustrated with it more than anything.
Oh look is the guy who claimed whales get special treatment on bans based on no proof 🤣
Well, I just filled out a survey that Kabam sent me after skipping the last few. I felt like there were several important issues on my mind and how could I be upset at Kabam if I ignored their actual request for input.
As far as company financials and all that jazz, the fact is no one in this thread has access to that information. A lot of emotional people conflate their own feelings with objective reality. But we just don't know; a survey of disgruntled players online (among whom I count myself sometimes) just isn't a reliable sample size. Most people who come online consistently are already unhappy people (I definitely spend more time online when I'm unhappy and less time when things are better personally).
Anyhow, the point being, the game doesn't have to be dying for our personal motivation to play to disappear. I know that would make it easier to quit because, hey, if there is no game, then it's easy to quit, right? But people can take responsibility for their own decisions without needing validation from the rest of the world.
I personally haven't reached the quitting point yet because I still find some good mixed with some bad. And frankly. I still need the distraction in my life and MCOC fills that void currently.
I never scolded you at all. I'm not your parent. I said the game is not dying.
They comment when there's something to add, and anyone who has been here for some time is aware that they themselves have indicated that they can't and won't answer every question on here. The Forum is primarily for us to discuss the game, not just a complaints department. They do hear feedback, but if there's nothing to update on, there's no sense in commenting. Plus, there's nothing to add to the statement that there are many things bugged right now. They're aware of what the issues are, and they're doing their best to work on them, as they've mentioned umpteen times.
Compensation is for a specific issue, and it's intended to compensate for the effects of that issue, usually assessed after it's resolved. Rarely do they compensate for ongoing issues. They have in the past in some measurable way, like AQ for example. It's not just a blanket response for the game being sub-par.
They have also, at times in the past, sent compensation packages as a sort of "thank you" for bearing with them while the game is underperforming. These are not mandatory, and while I can see how people feel they're warranted, there's no set measure of issues for these. They're not a given. All we can do is suggest it. Also, the drawback is the expectation that more of these will come.
Bottom line is we are all aware the game has issues. At any given time it will have issues. That doesn't mean it's dying. Personally I would much rather they spend time working on the game than answering every request and programming freebies.
