I'm not even trying to talk about f2p vs p2p. I'm trying to talk about player sentiment and how they feel.
Because that matters way more than however many sales Kabam has or how big a pay vs free gap is
I was responding to the comment about leaving F2P in the dust.
To be honest, I think people are way too focused on how much they're selling. If I'm not interested in buying, that's the end of my opinion on it.
I mean there was 0 doubt that QVC was gonna write today’s show…
I think, speaking for myself, a road map to addressing the growing wealth of core gameplay issues woulda had real meat to it. Glossing over these things just drags the hype machine into the ground
Walmart slashes prices on the daily bases, every Kabam sale has been pretty much the same price 😤
I mean since we are comparing a gaming company with one of the biggest multi national billion dollar retail chains...
(Stawmanning again)
comparing mcoc to walmart is
During special events like Xmas sales or Black Friday, Walmart pays overtime and hires part time seasonal employees.
We just lost Dave to Summoner fest…
Folks, I hear all your feedback that the frequency of sales feels like they're hitting hard. We’re working on balancing rewards to better suit different styles of players, improving event clarity, and exploring hybrid unit/cash options for key items. A big part of my job is compiling sentiment and feedback from all of you and building reports to bring to the Game Team, so we all know what you're wanting and feeling. This sale in particular was curated to front-load some of the most valuable items in the game, which is directly pulled from feedback after the Heat Wave sale. We also need to acknowledge the difference here between what "communication" is and instant gratification. There has been buzz on the forums for months about Mysterium. I get tagged and asked for updates almost every day - I said I would take it to the team and figure something out. Today on the stream, we presented an update to weekly Mysterium sourcing and outlined how you'd be earning a consistent 27,000 per week, which was the main request here. This is one of many examples. Big updates like that are just not going to happen in forum threads.
Well I will stop trolling the Walmart comment cause THAT was the response we deserved.
I'll take it
Mysterium was a huge W though I cant deny that. Also the daily quests and dynamic difficulty seem promising.
This was only intended to be a commentary on the monetization and not the game content announcements or bugs or connection issues
Its all good
Oh hey this looks very similar to the loading wheel
Sorry had to do it 🤣
I shop at Walmart almost everyday. It's close to home. I can assure you, after getting familiar with the door staff, they are not always smiling. I usually have to stop and give them a laugh.
I always pretend I am running away with my cart, some are friendly...
It’s really that many? I was envisioning a couple hundred at most lol maybe I underestimate the number near and willing to travel to Vancouver
NO walmart does not pay overtime during holidays. I would know. I work there overnights lol.
@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex For those with sig 200 7 stars, has the game team thought about giving out a selector? That way, if someone already has the specific champ maxed, they can choose a 7* basic crystal instead? Little something for everyone. If not, any chance we can start getting the max crystals on sig 200 7 stars.
Probably not and I most likely overtshot the number, I wonder what the max capacity of the building is...
I am hoping he’ll be good for other champs besides Yelena, otherwise we’ll have another Patriot solution
They do pay overtime for making them work extra hours. Not for working on a holiday though.
Inherently folks will take it poorly when someone tells them But not for you. Human nature.
What folks who yell at Mike should take into account is that while he is tasked with enduring the slings and arrows of an engaged player base and reporting said sentiment to the game team, there's a bean counter analyst generating another report full of colorful graphs and charts showing numbers and metrics and projections that will usually supersede his report. And, that bean counter analyst doesn't need to front face the angry mob.
Everyone complaining about a company making money should probably get a better job and contribute to that company's success.
Sales rolling out… fine. But just as an example where that’s tone deaf… look at the 9.3 rewards. We are getting basically chump change compared to 9.2. Yet the jump from 9.1 to 9.2 rewards was right on target for where the game was.
Then you roll out sales that will have way more than your most recent content. That’s where you start to get the frustration… the completing of content is mattering less and less.
i would pay to see the data
I have a question, what happened to the energy refills that we get weekly after finsing the allience quest thing we have not heard anything from where we get them now or did you guys remove it cause it would make us spend units on them now
Man it was a great idea to stop spending on this game. Thanks Kabam!
How could you actually miss out on a tier 7 basic for just $10 ? That was the best part of this monthly commercial!
I missed the MCoC QVC special today, but from the looks of things it appears (1) we get a free old 7* champ (2) there was no mention of mechanical issues (3) there are promo codes that are good in a week and (4) Karate the Kabam carnival barker spent time hawking whatever the sale of the month is?
Dr. Zola
Wake me up when there's another platinum track with a decent 7* at the end
