it's very interesting we have more top level sales than quarters in the year.
while the main functionality of the game keeps getting worse and issues slowly haven't been fixed.

now I know fixing the ai/lag is not going to be instantaneous but both these issues have been seen and reported for years so both getting out of control is an issue that should be criticized and brought up while we get more offers to spend money in the game. so yeah fix the game kabam

Money doesn't directly fix issues in the game. I've said this many times to people who threaten to withhold their money, although what people do with their own money is entirely up to them. They can boycott and not spend all they want, but that isn't going to fix issues any faster than what they're already trying to do.

I didn't say Torch is exactly the same as a 6*. I said you can use the 6* just the same. A Max Ascended 6* will take down an R4 just fine. Flame-On is OP no matter how you look at it.

I don't spend thousands, but I did have to spend a decent amount because if you don't have most of the meta relevant defenders you straight up can't play up there.

That's the main reason why Celestial players like Trappy have retired permanently, and he went to the Battlerealm Brawl so that whole "you're bad at the game" is out the window. You can yap and insult like a 12 year old kid all you want but the sales are getting out of hand and that's a fact.

I don't think he even plays BGs at all so he doesn't really understand how much of a problem it is to try to compete with people who spend when you don't spend yourself.

I think WorstInDaBiz is one of the very few truly f2p players up there but I know for a fact at least 90% of them have spent to some extent, and for me personally I have to ban every single Torch on sight because I decided not to spend on that one after seeing how greedy they're getting with their sales. When I don't ban Torch everything just gets nuked in 30 secs, and Dark Phoenix is literally unkillable without one of the very few counters so whatever argument that idiot is trying to make already makes no sense because both are extremely meta defining.

Except the 6* takes a **** ton of block damage and doesn't nuke r4s in 30 secs not even mystics. The 6* also can't take 7* r3 Zola Serpent Photon because he's too slow and takes way too much block damage, a 7* with block proficiency stat and the right statcast however can do all three and put up very good scores. You are absolutely clueless and have no idea what you're talking about because you play in Uru, you need to stop talking and embarrassing yourself.

The point that people keep glossing over is aside from Dark Phoenix, there hasn't been a meta-changing Champ. There are other options.

The major point I'm driving home is the pressure people place on themselves to spend is self-inflicted. As long as I've been here, people have complained about every damn sale they've had. I highly doubt they will stop complaining because of this discussion, but Kabam isn't going to stop marketing in whatever ways they see fit either. So we all have two options. Buy it, or don't.

Arguing with URU demons never leads to anything. Anyone in Arcane and above is seeing all these meta champs heavily used.

It's also crazy how many r4s people have. I actually don't blame Kabam. People are very willing to spend a ton of money on this game. Can't even break into C6 anymore which used to be fairly doable.

Yeah, I have even faced people with 20+ row of r4s, meanwhile I haven't even gotten a single 50% T7 from the crystal, and others are pulling it left and right, and to top it off now another sale which is gonna have god knows how many mats, we might be on the point we're gonna see mfs with full r4 deck.

Every match I queue up now is so stressful because I have to pray he doesn't draft any of the HoF champs, torch, early access bundle enjoyers who have Nico (incredibly versatility) etc. and I can only ban 3 of them.

This meta kinda allows you to kinda fight back cuz its a nuke meta and it feels like a coinflip, but no way in hell you are gonna beat these guys in a non-nuke meta, its ridiculous.

7* Torch is a meta defining champ, the 6* fell off a long time ago unless you played in Uru now he's easily back to being top 3 nukes in the entire game. You can have your opinions but when you try to claim that these sales haven't been giving us meta defining champs you're just completely wrong because they have.

Also, the difference is before we didn't have whales dropping a thousand on every sale, it was a thousand in total for all the sales within a year. There weren't as many complaints in previous years because they weren't overdoing it with the prices and amount of big sales, now they are.

Bud, you don't meaningfully engage in discussion, you just drop off your opinions and not listen to feedback until a thread runs its course then you repeat this style in every thread.

You say that the pressure to spend is self-inflicted and that's technically true. No one has to spend, or even install the game, or even get up in the morning, or shower, or eat, but people do, and have opinions, and you can't only give them 2 false options of either sucking it up and keep playing or quitting. There's an extra option of voicing their opinions on top of what they're already doing, and opinions DO guide Kabam.

To keep up in competitive tiers, the game needs more money and engagement than ever.

I can totally see how choosing an MCOC sale over a playstation is absurd, but like, everyone is different and what makes sense to one person might not make sense to another person.

For example, I spent a lot on my 1957 Gibson J-200, and my wife thinks I'm stupid for doing that. But then again, I wouldn't spend money on most of the stuff she likes to buy.

Man, inflation and cost of living are getting worse and worse every quarter.

We could be talking about MCOC, cars, watches, milk, rent, whatever…

Hopefully every big MCOC spender out there can actually afford the money they spend on this game.

As far as BGs, I'll just say this from my perspective: I like the mode, I like the game, but yeah, it sucks to lose. The biggest challenge for me is making peace with that, to play a match and if I lose, to still feel like, ok, that was fun. I enjoyed the distraction and the gameplay.

This is very hard to do, but I'm working on it.

No, I'm a Player just like anyone else, but when the conversation starts degrading into personal attacks, then I'm not interested in continuing.

As I said, I have my own opinions on the subject and I've expressed them. If people don't agree, that's fine. At this point, the conversation has devolved into something about me as a person and there's nothing productive coming out of that.

I could care less what people think of me. I've been here long enough to be immune to that mess. It's usually the last resort in a debate, to be honest. When in doubt, call someone out. I'm too old for that. If someone can't make their points respectfully, then they're not worth taking note as far as I'm concerned.

Yup, even though I fail to practice what I preach often, I fully agree with that statement. There's no meaningful or respectful conversation with the creature, just a game of semantics for the most part. And the "different" mindset narrative is getting old at this point.
