So while climbing the victory track i got matched with a 4Loki dude. Now that's not an issue but when I saw the roster I had no words. The guy has 29 rank 4s and all 30 champs as sig 200s. How does my FTP account with 5 rank 4s supposed to compete with that.

In fact I forgot that it was even a thing until you mentioned it. When I made my comment I was referring to real sports.

and the point still stands that a competition doesnt have to be fair and equal. You compete within the parameters set by the competition. That's it.

In most professional sports money has a huge say in who wins. It’s one of the biggest reasons why Real Madrid and Man City are successful and Rochdale isn’t. Motorsport? Show me the money! Have you seen how much money goes into pro cycling?

Even individual sports require money. Who is paying your rent and buying your food so you don’t need a job and can train 8 hours a day to become an Olympic swimmer or athlete? In fact I can’t think of many sports at a professional level that don’t require serious financial backing. Pro tennis players don’t get all their accommodation paid for as they play around the world. If they want to play an event they have pay to get to that event.

You’re expecting to compete on an even playing field at the very highest level in a game that’s popular all around the world. In any other sport that would require serious financial commitment but all you’re willing to sacrifice is some time.

That’s not how it works in any other competitive field and MCOC is no different.

On further thought BGs are just like MLB: no salary cap, just tax thresholds meant to stop the uber-rich owners (Steve Cohen) from just 4L0ki ing everything ( hasn't stopped him), where the Tb Rays exist in the same division as the "evil empire" Yanks, despite having 1/4th the payroll. You can call the Rays the ftps (which they are irl) and have no idea who any of their AAA level players are, versus the clearly PTW NYY, whose fan base cries for blood when there's not an all-star BACKUP for when their all- star starters aren't crushing every team in front of them. Despite these differences, here they are, and here bgs are. Certainly not fun being the Rays or the A's but you'll still win one against overspending dolts every once in a while.

That's not what Esports means. Stick to mcoc boss man, it's obvious you don't know what you're talking about.

You wouldn't be competing with a trash set up, you literally get sponsored by your team. BGs isn't an Esports, it's a ranked mode.

On PC, the only P2W upgrade you can buy is a faster monitor and even that will only give you a small advantage. Someone on 60 fps can easily beat someone on 240 fps if they are more skilled. Money means nothing on PC since games aren't p2w trash like Roster Grounds.

Mcoc is the only ranked mode where you can buy stats, by definition that can't be considered competitive.

Trashing on BGs doesn't mean I hate the game buddy, don't know how you came to that conclusion. I enjoy every other mode except BGs. A p2w pvp mode in a mobile fighting game where you aren't even fighting against a real person 😂, no wonder the old timers enjoy the mode so much.

The last showdown, 80% of qualified guys were under 20 or around 20-25. Unc Pepe was the only senior citizen and he was runner up.

My focus was on BGs, not the brawl, I actually think that the brawl is very fair and balanced unlike BGs. Most players that qualify are youtubers anyway and tournaments are almost always played by younger players since old dudes can't keep up.
