Present Situation of Game

I'm a FTP player Valiant with a decent roster in game. Recently the content for FTP players is annoying in various aspects like the difficulty, the money you have to put in to get milestones rewards. The BG's are not longer fun , matchmaking with players having half a roster as 7* 4 star is just of no use to against a roster like me having 1 rank 4 7* . The game is progressing in a direction like "pay to play" and is getting more difficult for FTP player. Also the originality of game like the story is lacking behind. the Recent releases like the wheel of gate gives no literally no access to FTP players as the entry requirements are limited champs and people like me who don't have Serpent, onslaught, deathless Thanos as 7* star can't do anything.
Kabam should make some content enjoyable for FTP players as they are the majority in game and are willing to explore more content but are restricted due to various problems which require ingame spending of Money.

Ftp players can have 10-12 r4s if they are up to date with content. You say you are lacking a lot of champs as well. So unfortunately your assertion that you have a decent roster is false. Go do the content.

I used to be FTP but now spend probably £100 per year, most of that on platinum track. Not nothing but not a huge amount when spread out

The more I see posts like this the more I think Kabam should run platinum track as standard for all players and charge a $5 per month access fee for all key content after attaining cavalier at 6.1 or wherever it is. Battlegrounds, story content, EQ whatever. Keep arena ftp and that’s it.

Firstly it would give new players enough of an intro to decide whether they want to commit to the game. Chapter 6 is a big step up from chapter 5 so it’ll give a good idea of what’s to come.

Secondly it would give all of us more direct power to hold Kabam to account - you keep screwing up and you’re going to lose $$$ in subscription fees that you’ve come to rely on.

Thirdly, it might end all this FTP entitlement stuff that’s been hitting the forum recently. Or maybe not. Maybe it would just morph into ‘player X as more spending power than I do. It’s not fair.’

There is no content gated to keep FTP players out of it. There may be limited content that players with under developed rosters can't do at a reasonable cost of resources, and many of those players with under developed rosters haven't spent money on the game, but that doesn't mean they can't complete or even access the content. Yes, if you want to compete for the best rewards in BGs, you probably need to spend some money, but that doesn't prevent you from playing the mode or competing for rewards on par with your game and roster progression as well as your skill level. As far as any other content goes, yes WoF is very limited as far as effective champs go, but that only makes the content more difficult, not impossible.

The game has been in a PTW state for the last several months when it comes to a couple aspects of the game, namely BGs and AW. But it isn't PTP (almost was with the energy garbage) and FTP are not held out of doing content in the slightest.

Hi @Jerichoharris , So you solution is make the game Pay to Play (apart from Arena)?

You do know that more than half of the MCoC players are FTP, so you suggestion would completely change the economy and eco system of MCoC.

It would still not make much different between small spender and big spender, but could break the eco itself. Imagine how long you would have to wait to find a BG match.

Like @Zacharias10719 said a FTP can get between 10 to 12 R4 without even spend "Units" on major sales events. So if you have 1xR4 then you are playing MCoC in a casual player, which nothing good and nothing wrong with that, it is a mobile game and you enjoy it at your own speed.
As say above, MCoC is a mobile game, it just a game we are playing, and everyone of us invest to the game differently. There are those play casual, spend casual, grind intensely, spend big, or both, all of that is a healthy eco. At the same time we can't expect to out do other that are more invested into the game.
BG - Again based on our own investment to the game (either money, time and skill dedication) we will be at a certain level, those does more get more, those does less get less. I can only finish at Gamma, it not great but it is the highest I can get so I will take it.

TLDR:- it is a game, just have fun 😊

Entitlement is off the charts for someone who has not spent a single cent in this game.

it’s interesting because these complaints are all basically due to BGs. Remove that mode and FTP can keep up enough with PTP in the alliance modes (as long as you are skilled and have a good alliance). They just need to grind a lot more - I did it for years.

The introduction of BGs is really the first mode where someone else’s gain is your loss (I know AW and AQ as well, but that is much less so).

As a FTP player, I wish other FTPs would quit their complaining about this. It only affects BGs (a mode I dislike). If BGs means so much to you, start paying for small things here and there. Or wait a week or so to start it when many larger accounts have moved on.

in regard to Bg’s there is the easy solution of just waiting a week or even two.

I’m not competitive in Battlegrounds, i wait 1/2 a week or sometimes a full week,..or depending on how much new content is on the plate,.,sometimes longer.

It’s a relatively easy go then,..i always make it to GC and sometimes play a few more matches to score higher radiance and that’s it.

No stress,..easy rewards,..and no complaints.

it’s not like you even have to grind particularly hard to get units either. If you do the bare amount of Arena to get your dailies you’ll be pulling 60 a day. When you include other bits and pieces it’s easily 2k per month with minimal effort. That’s 24k per year.

Well I think that is a separate discussion point really.

In regarding to Sales events that you can spend with units, 24k units per year would not be enough to complete fully one Sales event. To be honest if fully grinding MCoC like a full time job, and go pass all of the Arena milestone for extra battlechips, I don't think players would have enough to max out more than 2 Sales events, and we all know that are a lot more.

So unless players willing to use real money then it is healthier to accept that there will always be thing that players will miss out, you can't have everything, and that is ok, play at your own pace and enjoy the game where you can.

For those who say that an F2P player can get 10+ r4s at the moment via just playing, I m really curious to see what their calculations are. Excluding of course top BG Celestial ranks and top 10 Master Alliances.

Fairly confident the real number is around 6-8, depending on rebirth crystal RNG.

I’ve got 3 ranked up + 2 with cats and 1 gem sitting in my inventory, with WoF and Epoc, thats around 8.
I’m holding 24k units for Banquet. I did not buy unit offers/deals, and 9.2/9.3 15k offer, I probably could have gotten more.

casual player — don’t really push hard content. I’m in a casual alliance, bringing in around 30k radiance a month from alliance rewards. Radiance usage mostly for R3 mats, not buying T7B, there could be more.

In BGs I usually only reach GC for a season (I start almost 2 weeks late to get the easier path).

No complaints here — I don’t play that competitively, so of course others will have a stronger roster than I do.

I have 9. Half t7b from rebirth crystal. 1 full t7b from radiance. 0 unit deals, cuz no arenas.

The arena grinders have 10/11.

Absolute nolifeing arena battlechips over-grinders probably 1/2/3 more.

This is a perfect example. A casual player and enjoying the game, do a bit of BG and still got to 9 x R4 champs.

Other FTP can push a bit more in BG get a bit more Radiance and focus on T7A can probably get 1.1 of a T7A each month, plus Valiant Gauntlet and now MEQ, a FTP can get to 10 - 12 R4 champs.

All depends on the individual and what they enjoy.
