It’s foolish to invest materials into new champs until their balance is announced

Add Spider Woman to the list of champs we’ve dumped rare materials into only to have them messed with. Gems. Sig Stones. T7 basics and T4 alphas and class cats. People spend a real time and money deciding on who to use these ones and zeros on. THIS IS A REMINDER TO JUST WAIT! Hold those materials and those Titans until we know that they won’t get nerfed or **** with! A lot of people waited to rank Serpent because they were convinced he’d be nerfed and were rewarded when he wasn’t because they could make the informed choice!!!
Patience is obviously the best practice when it comes to deciding who to invest in! Hoarding pays! Wait until the final word from Kabam or you can only blame yourself for getting over excited and rushing to rank! I’ll see you all again when the Nico and Karolina announcements come!

Note: before people jump on me this post is partly sarcasm, but with a bit of truth mixed in.

I am the type of person who agonizes over these decisions as a mostly f2p and because of my anxiety. I literally held on to my 1 generic 6* gem so long waiting for “the right champ” (Doom or Nick) that by the time I got one of them to use it on 6*s were practically useless thanks to 7* rosters and current health pools (I haven’t even r5d Nick because my rank materials are reserved for 7* now).
I have been debating if I rank SWoman or Photon next as my 2nd r4, in important decision for an account like mine going against accounts with 6+ r4s, and now I think this decision easier. And I wasn’t joking about the Serpent part. People literally held materials and then immediately ranked him and celebrated once they got confirmation he wasn’t nerfed.

Well that was what everyone was doing when balancing was done in 2-3 months, everyone held off ranking up champs and saving resources to see if KEBEM will nerf the hero,

Guess what Kebem did? Randomly extended balancing window to 6+ months 🤣 so that players are now forced to blindly waste the resources.

Kaboom did gave excuse for extending balancing window with, "we're working very hard 😳"

I truly don't understand all the fuss regarding this change in her kit since I only have a 6R4 that I haven't really paid much attention to.

However, it does seem to be a big deal and I get why folks lose their cool. I didn't even know she was this good. Kabam should stop messing with people's emotions like this when they could've done their "investigations" and "analysis" sooner before people ranked her up.

Genuine question though, will this change make her completely whack in case I pull her as a 7 star?

It's a massive change to a good piece of utility.

Her matchup spread thins out significantly with the removal of the ensnare, you could use her for even bullseye or fighting against herself.

The fact that Kabam said she didn’t need the ensnare in her matchups and she was often used to counter herself is mind boggling. Also, even if it was true, the moment evade is added via node, she was still viable for her “target matchups,” now? Not so much

It’s a great advice. I like it. The right way is not to get excited too much about the game and new characters. There are a lot of champions that have been nerfed and we get angry but they don’t care. Spider woman was an amazing champion. It was too good to be true.

6 month is too much for rebalance, one should be more than enough.. and after a new champ goes to the titan, they shouldn't be allowed to change its kit… the rebalance program is a scam…

It doesn’t break her but it makes her less good, and that looks bad when you look at the champs that could be considered “broken” that were deemed to be “working as intended”. It also doesn’t help that the affected mechanics benefit the attacker (you) while they passed on chances to adjust champs who’s mechanics benefit the defender (Kabam), so it’s bad optics and does not instill confidence in the program that was meant to instill confidence. Now we have to wonder who’s next and seriously consider if it’s worth ranking before the announcement.
