This is the shittiest balance update. Spider Woman is a perfectly balanced champion. She is the benchmark champion for you, KABAMMMM, how to create champions.

Just fire all your balancing department. They do not know how the champions work, they do not understand what is good for champion and what is not.

Not Serpent, not Leader, not Onslaught, not Photon, none of the champions which really require balancing are touched. But they decide that Spider Woman is imbalanced? Why, just why??

Why not to remove failing all abilities by Domino which she does on constant basis? Why not change champions who DISABLE MASTERIES ABILITIES, which is absolutely innatural.

But hell no, Spider Woman is imbalanced according to you. Big L for you. You are doing everything to kill the game and stop people supporting it with money.

Kabam sucks, every recent decision is going in the wrong way, or in the way to make money. I don't know why a company likes to angry their customers. Don't trust in kabam and don't expect anything of them, if they can do something worse they will...

They purely want to nerf her for offense, but they are hiding behindthe guise it's for defense. There are several defenders that are harder than her. I think this may be the thing that makes me completely step away from this game especially since I took her to R3 recently.

This is the type of situation that calls for a thorough review and analysis of an entire division of a company.

yes I’m talking about the Balancing team- it’s entire leadership, management, objective; existence needs to be called in question.

EVERY division in any company exists within the collective for the better overall state - yes and sometimes unpopular decisions need to be made for checks and balances. However, when one decision that is supposedly improving the state of the game is ACTIVELY driving away the most loyal customers, even causing CALLS to LAWSUIT- this is fireable offense. Not to mention, NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS.

If I were anybody else working in Kabam I would be looking at Balanckng team with side eyes because their incompetence is driving away revenue that supports the entire company. this is the last straw for many players.

I will be writing tickets to the support team as well, even though I know they’re not responsible for this, but hopefully they can take it up to their management as well and this INCOMPETENT decision by Balancing team can be discussed in their next leadership meeting.

12.0 all over again and we all allow this cycle to repeat by keep playing it. These guys are masters of bait and switch and even changed their terms after 12.0 to facilitate them legally being allowed to do this without any civil proceeding being able to be opened. They just want your money they don’t care about engagement hence the silence other than a couple vague messages to make it look like they are listening. I’ve spent around 15k total on this but no more. I’ll put my time and money into fc26 instead.

After sleeping on it, these changes are still terrible, and the post still reads terrible. You want to nerf spider woman’s defensive threat? Let’s take away one of her offensive tools (why not just take away one of her actual defensive threats *cough *cough fumble?)

Additionally, your insinuation that I didn’t use her for her evade counter? Why, I had no idea when I took her up against Mordo, or a spiderwoman mirror matchup that I would need an evade counter. Thank you for telling me why I used a champion on attack, I never would have guessed. And let’s just slide under the rug that if her target matchups have evade on a node in BGs, questing, or war, she is now much worse OFFENSIVELY.

Oh the piece de resistance, your closing statement. We want to avoid the amount of defenders being added to the game. Really. This is your justification for nerfing spiderwoman, offensively btw. The irony in this statement is staggering. You nerf a great duel threat on both sides of the ball, but leave Serpent and Enchantress the way they are. I’m really struggling to find a better word to describe this than BS.

Finally, and this is the kicker for me. This sets an extremely scary precedent for new champs. Because of this, I’m now terrified of ranking up new champs. Cause what if this champ that I pulled out of the Titan, love playing, and is super powerful gets nerfed.

cancelled sigil. Unit card done. Monthly splurge never again. I’m sure I’ll feel good about it in the long run. Time to find new avenues of entertainment. I’ll have an extra vacation a year instead. I find it amazing that the game team have not been fired. If I performed this badly at work I’m pretty sure I’d be relieved of my duties.

The balance program should have been abolished earlier this year when they said all buffs and nerfs will happen ever 6 months.

I'm sorry but if you give someone a toy and let them play with it for 6 months, you don't get to take it back to trade for something worse. If a champ is bugged, fix them right away. If they aren't working as described fix within 2 months max. Buff a champ? Sure, whenever is good and surprise us with great news. Need to nerf a champ? Don't! You haven't nerfed a champ in ages now. You didn't nerf OP champs like serpent ( dual threat), onslaught (dual threat), enchantress (op defender) so let the idea of a need go. You, as a dev team should learn from your mistakes and not make the same mistakes (like not testing enough to be sure) in the future.

At this point I think we, the players need a global boycott. Not from spending but just take a single day and don't play. Show kabam what it will look like when the player base is all gone. Because that's where we are going with the past 3 months of "updates."

I vote we all skip playing this Sunday.

I’m so sick of this greedy company run by ghouls. Every day is more awful news from them. Nothing is ever positive. So many Ls. The worst thing you can do is make people scared to rank up champs and that’s what they have done. It stagnates the game since acquiring and ranking champs is the main gameplay loop. Now I have to wait half a year or however long it is to do that safely? F that. Plus all the hypocritical nonsense they spout off on a regular basis.

That is for sure the thing thats making me the most upset. Its just below an insult to assume your community is so dull they can't figure out that this is a nerf to her offense. Its very very discouraging. I spend about 2 grand a year on this game. I know thats not much for some and absurd to others. I genuinely think for the first time in 8 years, I'm going ftp. I know its just a game but I'm just so upset by this.

The best part of any game is when something is good, or a bit better than most. It makes champs exciting to get. There is no character other than Mystique that the community is really jonzing for any more, its the great kits that are exciting. You nerf the great characters and everything is just this luke warm parry, dex, combo, special thing for 20 minutes before you die and have to revive and repeat. I cannot stress this enough, this is absolutely another straw on the camel's back. If its the one…I wouldn't be the least surprised.

I usually don’t write in the forums, but this is not the right way to go on this one. Your decision on adjusting spider-woman’s DEFENSE kit make zero sense, when you for example compare her to Serpent/ Enchantress etc. I’ve been playing since launch with a 11million account, and the last 3-4 months has been a sh*t show to be honest, and don’t get me started regarding your ai issues. Im a veteran player, and love playing the game but the way your decision impact my gameplay is a no go for me, and the community. Hope you at least in the future, use the knowledge of the content creators before making decisions like this..nobody and I mean nobody saw this downgrade coming to spider-woman. But seriously Kabam, fix your ai. Have a nice day everyone!

Just not the right time or place to be making these types of decisions. Trust and morale is at an all time low for the game. Then one of the communities favorite champs get nerfed? Not a good look at all.

I think the elsnere should be remove on defense but kept on offense if they really want to update but to be honest she is perfect the way she is. There are other champions who really need a rebalance no spiderwoman

@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex consider changing her kit as a defender only as others already mentioned.

I don't feel like spending any money on this game atm. This type of changes will make many paying players turn F2P.

No, this is just a glaringly dishonest nerf.

Kabam claims to care about an oversaturation of difficult defenders as justification for this yet the biggest defensive threats aren't touched and they're claiming to nerf her defensively while nerfing her on attack. This is sleight of hand dishonesty.

If Kabam wants to nerf her defensively, they can simply adjust her kit so ensnare doesn't exist on defense, it's that's simple.

I genuinely think the people making this game either believe this game is too big to fail, the community is to addicted to quit or they have something else they want to work on and are just milking this until we all quick to introduce it. This game is not immutable in our lives. It's a choice and at this point, it feels like they are trying to make that choice for us. This is just such disrespectful thing.

Kabam logic:

Ensnare = offensive ability

Fumble = defensive ability

Conclusion: she is too strong on defense, therefore, we have to remove one of her offensive abilities.

People have grinded content (e.g., Battlegrounds etc.) for Titan shards or Titan Nexus, just to get her. Others have spent tens of thousands of units just to get here from crystals, while others have spent close to 1,000 dollars to get her from 120 Pitty crystals system. Yet, either F2P or P2P, they reward the community with an offensive nerf, because the gap between 5/5 defenders and good attackers is too big.

Why not make it even bigger by nerfing attackers? Ha Ha Ha!

Instead of writing such a big story for spider woman balance update, kabam could have kept it really short. 🙂

Since it's less than 3 months of her release, I pity those who have invested in spider woman. There is definitely not going to be rank down tickets. After the balance, she WILL BE true to her spider tag in MCOC.
