You've been playing this game for 8 years and still needed 10 revives to complete the first path of 9.3?
Wow, just wowβ¦..
yes. I will not spend on Black Friday and will be taking a hiatus in January if the change happens
i also already canceled sigil
It was the 9.3.3 Ice man Regen path. My only heal blocker is Howard the Duck at rank 2. It's totally my fault that in 8 years I haven't pulled a 7 star heal block champ man, clearly I should have been chasing one since year 1. Thanks for reminding me man very helpful, I think you forgot to mention BGs cheaters in your comment though π
Not really. If I want to spend, I'll spend. I don't really think using my spending habits is any kind of effective protest.
No, I was already done with spending.
I've been a consistent spender now for about eight years. I spend about 100 bucks maybe 200 bucks a month and then I usually buy out the Fourth of July and cyber weekend sales. I bought every single offer in the store in order to get dark Phoenix when that happened, and there's been a few other times where I've spent quite a bit like purchasing units to finish up my deathless champs to get Thanos. I think for the first time in eight years, I think I'm actually done.
I just can't imagine spending any money in this game ever again. I tried logging in and just doing my daily stuff, had zero interest in doing it. For those who have paid attention to my comments over the years on this forums probably know that I don't say things like this really ever but I think I'm done. I almost feel done with the game to be honest, like we all know that it's suboptimal at best but the reality is the game is pretty much broken and this is what they're doing. Of all the things they can do to make the experience better they're choosing to hurt a beloved champion across the entire community in a way from which is completely diametric to what their post or rationale even was.
All of this just feels so hubris and void of joy for this game or the people that play it. MCOC is clearly not a passion project anymore or a thing that the people who are making this decisions care about in any way shape or form, this feels just like a soulless business. Like your aunt that couldn't care less about DnD is put in charge of your campaign.
This game feels like whats going to happen to Bulders Gate when its purchased by EA.
Yeah but you also did say that you would be done IF they nerfed Niko...
To be honest, I might not even wait for that, I slept on it and woke up even more upset and feeling disrespected. Usually when Kabam does something distasteful, I'm usually like whatever by the next day, not more upset/agitated.
Imagine being stuck in act 6 in 2025πππ½
it took a few Cartman-inspired rochambo kicks, but this one brought me to my knees. Absolutely done.
Can't spend less than nothingβ¦β¦. One of many reasons why I will stay non-spending for the foreseeable future.
No, I had already decided to stop spending three months ago. I wish there was an official Kabam marketplace so I could sell my account. I spent too much on it to just abandon it, and it's the only reason I still play. The game is infested with cheaters in every possible area, and it seems that now all new champions need to be rated 6/10. I don't think the decisions being made are wrong; I think they're very well calculated. They're all what I would do if I were desperate to make as much money as possible. It's funny that I used to be ironic and make fun of my friends, inventing scenarios in which Kabam could monetize. These days, I can't even do it anymore; they all seem so real to me. Nine years ago, the joke was that they would put champions up for sale in the store. Well, it's already happened. I've joked about the arena being faster for those who pay; it's already happened. I've joked about launching absurd defenders and then absurd counters to them. Well, that's the reality today. I'll leave you with the last one: Soon, they'll make champion rentals available. You pay a fee and have the champion available on your account for a month, for Battleground or Alliance War. It will come with a max signature and the highest rank available at the time. Here's another idea: Whoever rents it gets a discount to buy the champion later. Put a premium calendar in place soon. The free one is ****. At this point, there should be at least one full T4A per month. Everything now is about making money, about the next offer, the next paid champion, the next PAID "COMMUNITY" event. No, it's free. But for those of you who haven't spent any money and are Valiant, here's a 6-star rankup gem 3 to 4.
For me the main problem now is not that Spider Woman nerf itself but that its just the latest in the series of stupid decisions by the game developers through all the last year. Frankly I was ready to quit after the "energy economy" fiasco but they have reversed the changes and I ve decided to give the game another chance. And I wasnt suprised at all with the newest blunder just 10 days later. This is the exact reason I am not going to invest any serious money in the game right now. With such management you literally dont know what another "brilliant change" they will implement in a month or two (like Arena nerf or introducing some $1000 paywalled champion for whales that can one shot most of your best defenders in BG) that will make the game completely uninteresting for me
Looking at the accounts currently in GC, the threats of not spending are hard to believe.
Exactly, the biggest complainers and boycotters don't even contribute to Kabam's revenue, so it's like, ok, you're going to continue to not support the game. Scary!
And the people who do matter to Kabam aren't going to stop spending because their spending was never based on Kabam's competence or goodwill, it was always based on completely personal factors (indulgence, addiction, fragile ego needing to feel powerful in a video game, etc.).
I'm just yanking your chain. No one should care about how they perform in a video game, it doesn't matter as long as you're enjoying your time.
Definitely going to have an impact on my spending, and as of the last 2 years been a whale. Itβs almost like they are trying to change everything with about 20% being good decent changes, and 80% being terrible (not even making sense) changes. I feel itβs almost at a point where the community knows what we need more than kabam. Iβm not tryna knock the team because I respect their hard work and dedication. They do their best to work with us when we want changes and nobodies perfect we all get that, but yea this action is a huge swing and a miss. After all the champs thatβs been released spider woman should not be touched at all.
I stopped spending a few months ago, when I realised that doing so won t make absolutely any real difference in competitive gaming, except if you go all out every two months. The gap is too big, and with excessive amount or radiance given to whales is getting bigger by the day.
Plus, I m tired. I don t get as much fun as I used to with the game being broken for several years now, having a few more r4s won t change my mood. R5s are coming? Meh, I ve been there before many times, 6 star r2s, r3s, r4s,β¦the same circle.
And, of course, I don t intend to support a company that lies to me and tries to screw me over and over again.
I'm done spending and very very close to uninstalling the game. I used to look forward to monthly eq and running thru low levels with new champs, that's gone. Used to enjoy side quests, that's gone. War used to be fun, that's gone. Kabaam nerfing spiderwoman which is one of my few r4s is just the final straw. Battle grounds is the last game mode I enjoy and I used to hate it. I find myself forcing log ons and running any game mode. They need a hard 180
Yes. I'm done 100%. Sick of this. Serpant/Enchantress were just fine as is, but now Spider-Woman needs a nerf? What a joke. Kabam feels like they are trying to drive players away. Well done.
I cancelled my Sigil and did not spend on the carnival game as I planned. It is actually nice. I went out and bought a PS5 and 4 games with the money I have saved so far in the past few months from all the issues. I forgot what it was like to buy a game and not be microtransactioned to death (although that does exist in the console world if you let it)
1000% will. I spent a lot of time and money to get her, and rank her to r4 based on her gameplay with the assurance it was "working as intended". as soon as more people got her, Kabam rug pulled us faster than a crypto bro and now wants us to keep spending and ranking up champs? nah. what guarantee do I have that the next r4 I get wont get nerfed either? why would I spend for this? kabam will either reverse this decision or suffer the consequences of MORE lost revenue.
You hit the nail on the head. When they are ridiculously broken defenders, there isn't an urgency to fix. Its when we can use the character to make content easier on the attack side, and only need 3 revives instead of 10 that Kabam slaps the red button and sounds the alarmβ¦then LIES to our faces like we are just stupid NPC. Acting like they are ONLY doing this for our benefit and best interests because they care about the game economy and longevityβ¦.
haven't spent since March 2024, so, no, probably not.
It's no accident that spiderwoman was part of the longest saga, put in all the saga crystals over months of sales as well as the titan.
I didnt get her in the last titan pool so ive been buying all the fantastic farce crystals options instead of choosing better items from sales, just trying to get her.i finally got her on my 14th Titan of the new pool,so not only have I spent a ton getting her but ive passed on another ton of resources I could have chosen instead. And ive had her a couple of weeks and they announce this.
I didnt spend all that money to get any altered version of spiderwoman,i spent everything i could get my hands on for months to get the champion that was released.
Rank down gems aren't enough this time ill have my Β£3000 back now kabam, the money i spent on an item you offered, but will no longer exist.thats some level of dishonesty you believe is OK for your customers.
