Nerf Nico Next

I know Nico was designed by the same person who brought us Serpent, so fair and balanced is not something they care about, but if anyone deserves a nerf from the new champs it's her.

I get that she destroys cosmics on attack, even if they're poison immune, ok, that's fine.

But some of her defensive abilities are downright gratuitously powerful.

Like the fact that you can't bring top science champs to counter her like Titania and Red Guardian makes no sense. Being buff immune is one of the hallmarks of the science class, so how do you design a mystic champ who destroys them? it makes no sense to me.

I actually really wanted her to get nerfed but I went to check her spotlight and it says 4/5 defender so in this case I think she is performing as expected (if that even is their argument). I will say tho, I dislike champs who are basically jack of all trades and master of all at the same time. She literally annihilates anything that isn't poison immune except for cosmics those get deleted regardless.

I think designing champs this strong is very unhealthy in the long run because every top cosmic defender after this will either have to be immune to buff immunity or immune acid burn and poison. Basically they'll have to design cosmic champs around her so they even have a chance to be relevant

She's in the game and I have her at r4 so I don't want her to be nerfed but she is so bad for the game in the long term 😂.

I remember a DLL live stream around a year and a half ago maybe where he brought up the whole peni galan thing saying that kabam didn't want to have that type of design where they release a defender and then release an attacker that just completely invalidates them anymore. I thought it was funny as kabam has since been on make a hard defender and then make their direct counter a few month later spree ever since.

But this one makes that statement even more hilarious as he's the one who designed nico and she invalidates not only the whole god damn cosmic class, but any champ with any buffs whats so ever so half the tech class as well.

What were they thinking 😂.

Dll mentioned in a stream the other day that nico being so strong right now is because they hadn't implemented any counters to buff immunity. They specifically gave it to another character so that it wasnt just this forgotten over powered ability that they were afraid to talk about, they implemented it so that they could then start working around it and reduce its power. She's incredibly strong in cosmic matches, but so was Rintrah when he first dropped and while he's still very good now more champions counter neutralise and so he feels better balanced which is what I imagine them to do with Nico.

If she just had fate seal she would be a lot less strong, buff immunity as an effect is just so underused that there arent really counters to it right now

He said the other day that buff immunity as an effect is only so strong because theres nothing that counters it and by leaving it on Claire exclusively there would be no real need to come up with that. She counters every cosmic right now but once they start coming up with ways to lessen the effectiveness of it she'll balance out pretty naturall

I have Nico, that's why I made the post, based on my own experiences. The champ I'm salty about not having is Karolina, but I'm not going to give opinions about her without having used her myself extensively in BGs.

DLL the guy who said pre buff Gladiator was perfectly fine and balanced lol there’s a reason Vega is leaving the ccp. Anything DLL says these days is irrelevant, sorry but not buying it.
