He wasn't when they first added him. He was pure hell. And it took months for Kabam to start making counters. He's still annoying in some modes and on some nodes. Despite the calls for a nerf, Kabam didn't. Now here they are wanting to nerf Spider Woman.

The lost of Dr. Christine Palmer was so painful that it set Dr Strange to the path of destruction, as her dealth was the absolute point.

I'm starting to believe that Serpent not getting nerf is the absolute point for MCoC 🤣, the pain that cause, the trust the it broken, the so many many many BG match lost.

Maybe, just maybe we are the start of the end game 😬😬😬. We didn't just lost the BG match, we lost ourselves.

people still want a serpent nerf? I understand that it’s in correlation with the spider woman nerf but they’ve released direct counters in the past months. It makes more sense to complain about dark phoenix who has less than 5 solid counters

I think you guys are being to short sighted, they didn't nerf Serpent because they wanted to make sure, what do they say again? Oh yeah, the game was healthy for the player base for both the short term and long term goals of the contest. Spiderwoman just had to go, because after all, I can't remember the last time I went to the forums and somebody wrote anything other than, "nerf Spiderwomen, she's too strong on defense".

You have a point. Why should they nerf a miniboss, where if you dont have 5 out of 300 champions to fight against him every day, multiple times per day, you just die.

You misunderstood. No one is still asking for Serpent to be nerfed. It's the fact that Kabam didn't nerf him after his release. Yet here they are wanting to nerf Spider Woman because she's "too op". How is SW nerf worthy, but Serpent wasn't?

Kabam's explanation was that SW was performing as a 5/5 defender (she was) but she was never meant to be a 5/5 defender.

The implication then being that a champ like Serpent was ok because he was meant to be a 5/5 defender.

This of course only makes sense if every champ's attacker and defender rating in the game correlates with their actual performance, but of course it does not.

For example, Mysterio is rated as a 4/5 defender. He's clearly underperforming that (he's basically a 2/5), so shouldn't he be buffed?

Or Okoye, she's rated as a 4.5/5 attacker, but she's clearly performing as a 5/5 (or even 10/5) attacker, so shouldn't she be nerfed?

Anyway, point being, this is their explanation/logic, so if you want to criticize them, criticize their actual logic, instead of talking about how Serpent needed to be nerfed. He did not, but what is needed is actual consistency of Kabam's own proffered rationale, which is lacking.

Saying there is a rebalance program and it deciding Serpent did not need a nerf was the death of any trust the community still had. Anything after that is just more of the same.

This is why I feel that was a absolute point.

Because we are now in a place where, he have become to start point when champs are Unbalanced.

And yep, Kabam can't go back an "nerf" him now, community uproar might be bigger than SW, while at the same time they will have to live with forever hear the players base refer to the time when Kabam should "nerf" Serpent.

Un-nerf Serpent truly the absolute point, when things start to unravel.

I just came to realise, I actually like that Kabam is removing Ensnare from Spider Woman (hold on, give me a few mins to explain, before you come at my with pitchfork and frame 🤣).

As Kabam explained Unreliable Ability Accuracy is UNHEALTHY, and I agreed guarantee assurance is much better. Therefore I'm looking forward to all future champion with 100%+ Ability Accuracy, everything is 100%, guaranteed, no if or but.

Once Kabam done with that, they can then focus on 100% guaranteed crystals too, no more variables % of 4*, 5* and 6*. Just guarantee 7* 😁.

Right? Right Kabam? 😉

They could have just raised her defender rating and left her the hell alone. Is that unprecedented? I don't know. But if it is, why not consider it over a nerf? If they have done it before, why not do it again?

Kabam has mentioned that she's "too strong" for a node in AW as if that's the data they based their conclusion off of. I think it was node 47.

There is more to the game than this node. So why strip her of an ability that they sold her on..…..

About the war node, lol lets affect 1000s of players by nerfing a champ with the excuse of 3 being used each war... 3..

You should know that if they haven't nerfed Serpent by now, they're not going to. The point of mentioning him was to show the faulty logic, and the bait n switch in the "rebalancing program" with the nerf of Spider Woman.

You can't design her to be strong, test her out knowing all that she can do and approve all of that, market her to the community with all of her strengths as selling points, wait until players have invested so many hard earned resources in her, then say "oops..we done effed up. She's is too strong. We have to remove some of her muscle".

While Serpent, a still highly annoying defender, is "working as intended" or as designed.

If Kabam wanted Spider Woman to be a 3 out of 5 defender, then why make her so strong in the first place...... then take one of her strengths away? As I said before, why not just raise her defensive rating to a solid 4 or 4.5?

I have to wonder what is really going on at Kabam if the devs tested her and thought "oh yeah, she's a 3 defender".

The faulty logic is comparing the two. Serpent is Serpent, SW is SW. They never said she was too powerful compared to Serpent and other Defenders. They said she overstepped the mark they intended for HER.
