Double drop compensation

By this post, you’re admitting you know people received comp more than twice. This tells me you can verify the maximum number of comp packages any one player received. So to be fair each player needs the same number comp packages - either by adding the proper packages to each player or subtracting from those or both. Bringing most, but not all of the players, to the maximum number doesn’t treat all players equally. Simply calling it “close enough” is lazy and goes against the promise from the stream of “doing better”. You caused the problem. Do the work to fix it correctly.

You may not realize it but right now, Kabam is playing with fire. I’m in a top 3 prestige alliance - spenders all of us. We’ve numerous members ready to quit because we are not in the mood to work (read spend) that much harder to catch up in prestige bc Kabam gave extra relics and sig stones to some players and not others risks, and then was too lazy to fix the problem less than twelve hours after promising to do better. @KabamPinwheel

some people received it and upgraded summoner level and then received it again for the new rating. My son got it a second time when he advanced to cavalier.

There is no absolute fair resolution when it comes to bugs like this. People have likely used the Resources by now, so reversing it is creating more work than is really necessary, and it's equally as problematic to give the highest number received to everyone. Sometimes good enough is better than making more problems.

I am a senior citizen playing this game. I’m ranked #10 globally, not because of my skills (seniors like me suffer from slow reflexes), but because I spend a fair bit of money on this game. It is not fair that a small group (no matter how small) of people get a ‘windfall’ just for the mistakes of Kabam. It makes me think if it is worthwhile to continue supporting this game.

in all fairness, there used to be a time when knowingly exploiting an error led to bans. No need to claw back items/crystals/resources if that were still the case. Issues like this are part of the reason players get so upset when we read posts about game economy, whether it’s energy, rank up mats, or whatever else has been mentioned. Recent decisions have been wildly inconsistent and ruins any credibility .

They’ve clawed back stuff before, Pinwheel claims it’s a small portion, if that is the case then it shouldn’t be that much work unless they’re lazy. I would take a no for an answer if I was asking for something ridiculous as going through every account one by one and giving out the right amount of comps for each account but I didn’t because that is ridiculous.

However, if it really is a small portion like Pinwheel suggest then what is the issue with clawing back all the stuff? If this was a small bug sure let’s all move on but we’re talking about 150k radiance worth of items which equals placing in Mysterium one full BGs season, I don’t think you quite understand the severity of the issue because you’re just a casual.

I've been playing the game for 10 years. I don't call that casual. I'll overlook it because I know it was a dig.

The point you glazed over is if they say it's a small number, then that means they've made the decision to allow them to keep it. Pretty generous, and an act of good faith, considering the climate.

We can't just point out errors if we're not willing to acknowledge what they do in generosity. They've offered to double what we got, and a small number of Players getting more than that isn't throwing the game out of whack. Just be happy for people. Some hills aren't worth dying on.

It wasn't a dig, you don't grind BGs enough to not be casual. A person who plays the game casually is a person who doesn't care about competing in any areas of the game so unless you're in a Platinum alliance for war, yes you are a casual, and there's nothing wrong with playing the game casually. Only thing is that because you obviously don't play this game competitively you have no idea of the severity of the issue, if you did you would know how big of an advantage it is to give someone items that are worth well over 150k radiance when combined, hell I would even say you're looking at about 200k worth radiance because of the relic and the Titan nexus which you can't even purchase in the radiance store currently because they don't exist.

I don't know what you're yapping about on the last two paragraphs but that has nothing to do with my comment. You're arguing it would be more work that isn't necessary as if it was a lot of work for them to do, if Pinwheel says it's a small fraction then it can't possibly be that much work.

If you want to argue for the sake of arguing fine, but at least make up your mind first is it a lot of work or not lol the people who got more are just a fraction of the people who got two, can't possibly be that bad.

Like someone else mentioned above, start handing out bans for abusing bugs like this one, maybe then people would take Kabam more seriously.

I don’t even know whether to laugh or cry at this point….. One player on Line sent a video flaunting that he got general comp three times, but I noticed he also has the EQ comp(revs and health potions one) they sent weeks ago- three times as well. I’m pretty sure some players ended up with EQ comp three times plus another three times of general comp on top of that. Meanwhile, the majority probably only got one. Fair game? More like watching Kabam play hot potato with our sanity while we all just sit here in disbelief 🙃…. It’s tragic, ridiculous, and hilarious all at once… can’t make this up.

We all know it’s not a small number of people getting extra prizes. In my alliance, 3–4 people received the compensation three times, and it seems to be the general consensus that everyone knows at least a couple of people in their alliance with the same situation.

But even if it were a small number of people, it’s still not fair. And given the fact that some players spend money on this game, it’s even worse — it puts others at a disadvantage, going against your own game rules, in a system from which you’re making profit.

So clearly, as some people have already said, you need to gather all the data and fix it to make sure everyone get the same amount of packages.

You caring about the game in your own weird illogical way doesn’t mean you understand the scope of the issue, because you clearly don’t. Do you understand how much stuff 200k radiance gets you? That’s the value of that comp based on the t7b the sigs the titan nexus and the 7* relic alone.

As for your remark about banning people, yes that’s how abusing bugs used to be handled in previous years, weren’t you here for that since you love to talk about how much of a veteran player you are? lol

What makes it even more sad is they know their playerbase and how easily they forget so well that all it took was them dangling one more package and all of a sudden everyone forgot they’re being taken advantage of. We’re missing out on approximately 150k-200k radiance and most don’t even seem to care. They’re basically telling Kabam “hey next time you **** up just give us a nexus and all is good” lol

I’m sorry for the extra tag (having tagged Pinwheel in the first post), I don’t post often so I don’t know the protocol. I implore Kabam to step up here. All we’re asking for is equal treatment .

Insulting me doesn't take away from the fact that I understand what they are getting. What I said was it's not enough to affect the game balance in any significant way.

Regardless of how I play, I'm not bitter that someone else got something I didn't. Good for them. I'm getting an extra round, so I'm already ahead. Look at it however you want. It was a glitch, they're rectifying it in a way that revolves it easiest. I'm fine with that.

Let's hope the do a thorough investigation of this error and, if the data shows that more than "a fraction" received the compensation package 3 times, they should send X2 to the rest of the community.

If prestige did not play such a big role in the game, maybe 2 vs 3 compensation package would not hurt that much. But since 3 times the compensation means a R4 champion, those whom will receive it only twice, will be at a loss, not being able to rank 4 a champion, thus making others catch them from behind, or even climb past them, prestige wise. This means they could earn less rewards from A.W. and A.Q./Raids etc. due to unfairness.

No you're not, they're still ahead of you by about 200k radiance and if you're satisfied with a mediocre solution then that's on you. They're already taking the time to check which accounts already got it at least twice to send the extra one to the rest, they could've easily gone one step further and checked who got it three times and just gave it twice to the people who only got it once. You're acting like this extra step adds so much work, it really doesn't.

it looks like there was several that got it 3 times so im trying to understand why Pinwheel said wed receive a 2nd as opposed to 2nd and 3rd.

We the players who didn't take advantage of the exploit are receiving even less, which basically gives players the idea of taking advantage of something like this the next time it occurs. We're not even asking for more, were asking to just make things equal.

Playing this game casually like you do is probably the healthiest way to play it.

But the game makes money off competitive modes, BGs, prestige, war.

How can you tell competitive players that it's ok that their competition got extra power just by random Kabam incompetence, and that they should just be ok with that.

Again, that's understandable that it doesn't bother you, but it's also more than reasonable that people grinding and spending for the top positions in this game might feel completely deflated and alienated that some players but not others just received a huge advantage that is not based on the rules promulgated by this game.
