Dev Diary – The Prestige Calculator

Greetings Summoners!

I'd like to introduce the newest tool to our Academy – the Prestige Calculator!

Prestige has been a stat that Summoners have wanted improved visibility to for a very long time – and with the latest updates available in-game, we are aiming to do something similar for you on the website with the latest tool joining the Academy – The Prestige Calculator!

We are planning many different tools for the Academy that we want to bring to you, but I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about this one in particular and what our plans are for it going forward! Over the past two months, we pivoted to prioritizing this one in particular in order to try to get it out to the Community before Prestige 30 was used in Alliance Quest.

Let’s start with answering a few questions that I know many Summoners are going to have.

Signature Ability levels only show in intervals of 5 – what about the rest?

That is a great question! In order to get this tool out to everyone as quickly as possible, there are a few things we were not able to get to in our first version. This is something that we are actively working on bringing to the next interaction, and we hope to have it for you very soon, because we understand how important it is! In the meantime, we wanted you to have something, rather than nothing, so that is why we have the information in intervals of 5 for you.

Will there be a way to integrate this information from the game so I don’t have to manually add it all myself?

We are working on that – and we want to bring it to you. It is still something that is in-progress, and when we have more details to share, we will let you know!

What about Relics?

Relics are something that will absolutely be added to a future version of this tool, as we want it to be a place for Summoners to look at their Prestige and every facet of it available to them. Coming soon to a Prestige Calculator near you!

What’s Next?

We are doing our best to get all Signature Ability levels available on the Prestige Calculator. That is our priority. After that, there are several different factors that will determine which piece we work on next – but we will continue to work to improve it and make it a better tool for all of your prestige needs in The Contest!

Id be less concerned a out the intervals of 5, just somewhere where we can import our top 30 champs and maybe 5 to 10 blank spaces for us to do the hypothetical changes would be great.

I don't see any need to log in, just enter username and see the champs. I don't think there would be an issue if someone could see my champs but not sure how others feel about having their top 30 champs visible without being security locked.

I love the idea of a prestige calculator in the portal. I fully understand why it wasn't in V1, but any plans to be able to be able to import your roster from your account automatically?

Nice idea but awful execution. We need the prestige calculator because we don’t even know our top 30 prestige champions at this point, because it’s so detached from PI. Beyond that, maybe spots 31-40 in our rosters are close to top 30 so we should be able to input those too.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy (and a bit surprised) to see this tool being developed. The game is already calculating a value for all players so in the worst case, please build a tool that can request that calculation from the servers and automatically show the top 30 champs. A very fair ask is to simply add a “raw prestige” toggle in the champions tab so we see prestige with no impact from masteries etc when scrolling through our champions. That alone would make this so much easier.

we do know our top 30. Go into your in game profile and click the Learn More button and it shows all 30 of your champs that create your current prestige.

No that doesn't work if you have ascension 6* they show in your top 30 in your profile but isn't right. I took some photos last time if I recall I used a sig stone before I discovered it is wrong. So my overall prestige in the photos are wrong by like 1 point but the learn more in event eq shows your actual prestige.

The eq one if you do the maths lines up with my prestige the profile one doesn't.

How you see your actual top 30 without going anywhere is to go into your champs and filter it by 7* r3 and r4 and look. Unfortunately if you still have 6* in your top 30 it doesn't work right because of ascension.

Can we just get rid of PI and just make it the prestige of the champ? I have been playing for 8 years and can't think of a time the PI of a champion was relevant info or needed.

We all want prestige calculator, but we want it in game. Just not to try hard to input 30+ champs… That would be much easier if this was in the game and has access to our roster. Maybe there also can be in-game suggestions who to rank to improve prestige
