$0 if I see ONE outdated 1-2 rank up gem anywhere in Valiant offers.
$0 if it's looking like a repeat of last year's disaster.
$0 if the game doesn't get any better between now and then.
And this is coming from someone who used to whale on ALL of the offers.
Most players use RNG to determine whether something is good or not, instead of remaining objective.
The Banquet itself tells you up front that the main rewards are milestones but the crystals are bonus (with <10% chance of getting something good from the crystal).
Then, people complain that the Banquet overall is terrible because they didn't win the lottery with the crystals (while conveniently forgetting that the milestone rewards were great because their RNG was bad). And then on the flipside, players say that the Banquet is redeemed because their last RNG crystal granted them Medusa or whatever their desired champion was. They use the RNG to color the entire perception of the event.
The truth is, Banquet 2024 was alright in terms of (milestone) rewards, but a terrible experience (opening crystals).
In terms of OP's post - my answer is neither, unless the Banquet has a champion I really want (and currently, Absorbing Man isn't doing it for me). Additional R4s do nothing for me, and I am not gonna get wrapped up in a 7R5 race that only whales can win. After the Heart of Fire event, I have realized that my units are better saved for locked champions that I want to use, as opposed to trying to keep up in the ranked champions race.
Pure cope i guess? Literally no other reason. We have the documents, we have the footage in 4k. Like theres nothing to argue about 💀
So I crossed 18k units somehow.
I'm not spending my units on any event that does not include a Tigra selector. Be it CW, banquet, Feb/march deals, spring cleaning, whatever.
Keep your damn made up rare pools champion to yourslef.
