You shouldn't have been able to get them in the first place tbh but I'm sure kabam will do something
they might just send the drops again as Ingame mail
like the double comp + double incursion reward ππ
I had the same issue at 92% of the titan. The Kabam channel vanish from twitch.
@KabamPinwheel before add a 12h milestone to get a titan, you guys should had take in consideration the different timezones and the terms and conditions of Twitch. Hope you guys came with a happy ending in this case π
Yay they are merging the posts, they are aware!!
Oh no...I missed π my final drop of titan crystal by an hour. What are we gonna do?
Good morning folks, as was mentioned earlier, is this where I say banned for no reason? But yea, just a one day temp ban, we're looking options to see if we can appeal and what we'll do when its up. As several folks noted the restreams are purely to try and help folks in different time zones or who may have had other commitments (or understandably can't dedicated 12 hours over the weekend to watching) to get the rewards. To counter the claim, it doesnt actually help our metrics at all (long watchtime, low participation and lower than average viewership vs our actual livestreams. We don't make ad revenue or anything from Twitch so theres not a financial incentive to do it, just a community sentiment one). On the topic of 12 hours, in isolation its a lot for one thing for sure, but the idea is that there were rewards every 2-3 hours of watchtime (and several in the first 3 hours). So while the Titan is obviously the big prize at the end, the way we viewed it when building is that it was more like watch two mroe hours from your last prize to get to a Titan. I understand that has not landed with everyone and I can understand your perspective, but hopefully can see where we were coming from in the drop campaign design. Ultimately this is the biggest live event and biggest stream event we've ever done, so definitely lots of lessons to take onboard for the future, but think despite that it was still fun time. Tl;dr: Temp ban, we're working on it, will update when more info is available
Wow, this will surely affect the future plans they had for having champions added to twitch drops because if they can't restream twitch drops then it might not be fair for people who can't tune in live to get the tokens for champions
Everything is always just to 2 or 3 hrs away from the previous thing... 12 hours is the equivalent of binge watching a complete season of your favorite show over the weekend lol, and people usually feel like π© and guilty about doing it after
YeaπΆβπ«οΈ... you should have started smallπ such as 7 hour(15mins, 30mins, 45 mins to 1hr) there was a drop) max, 12 hours isn't nice since your CC & other CC can't help with providing those drops by livestreams their gameplay, plan, strategy or others to help fill in the hours rather then a full recording without someone interacting with the views.
I get the idea but it wasn't the best.
No one was forced to do anything.
As for the violation, no idea. It is a bit like Facebook where they'll suspend anyone with enough false reports.
Yea, the ban page says both repetitive broadcast and copyright content without really explaining either, so we're just gonna reach out and see what more we can learn.
Nah, there is a screenshot going around, its in Twitch's ToS and we always say it "Not knowing the ToS is no excuse..." Lol
I will say in their favor that their streams are not meant to be monetized so it shouldn't be so serious; but its on the ToS
Would be so funny if there was a TwitchCrashed employee who makes funny comments to people who say they didn't break ToS.
gotta love Kabam
Ohhh
So , the Kabam guy that posted on Twitch Forums was you
#kidding
Some people are getting even more rewards. The scales have become even more distorted.
Any official word from Kabam yet on this?
Fair enough. Strange ToS if you can't replay your Stream for a giveaway.
I imagine it's a blanket rule because most people that would be doing drops receive revenue from Twitch. Imagine if you could go live once a week and then just replay it the rest of the week for passive income and you offer a bunch of freebies to get people in.
Of course, it was the "music" that got them.
Ffs Iβm at 96% on the Titan crystal. π€¦πΌββοΈ
That makes more sense.
Kabam got banned in Twitch before Hasan π
I had the stream running on my computer almost all day yesterday, but I found during several stretches of time that my progress % wasn't increasing for the rewards, so I had to refresh the page. I'm now stuck at 86% of the way to the Titan, but I should have gotten it yesterday if my progress didn't keep getting halted.
We're working through the issue with Twitch. Stay tuned!
Grounded Wisdom, back again, saying humans must always be accountable and responsible!
But Kabam, not so much!
Dude, where do you live? Some deserted island⦠surrounded by nothing but Ayn Rand books?
Low key doing an event for 15 hours but only requiring 12 to get full rewards, when our normal livestreams with MUCH less valuable content are usually an hour but require 45 minutes for full rewards.. definitely sadistic stuff, especially with the increased value in items the longer you watched. You see, we originally only ever gave rewards for people who watched live and live only. We pivoted for YOU all. We didn't have to set up restreaming. But we did, because you all asked for it.
Yet restreaming is against their TOS when it comes to drops. You can not use vods or static images to stream with the core purpose of "drop farming". You actually have to be live an engaging with the community.
Kabam submitting a ticket to get a ban reversed. How the tables have turnedβ¦.
