the same thing happened to me and kabam support in game has to reset that but it took me 2 tickets and a bunch of back and forth arguing to get them to do it. But when they do you get all the drops you've qualified for. I've been arguing with support since the last stream and now I just got those drops too but since these **** got banned i didn't get a chance to qualify for the rewards this time since I wasn't going to waste any time b4 they fixed my account being connected. This is finally the mail when they fixed it.
Pass the blame. The tomfoolery is endless. Didnt you once call the community lazy coz they wouldn't join arena and help those who do play arena? π€£. It's been years bro. Grow up.
I was not able to watch the stream live so I appreciate them replaying the stream so I can get the rewards.
Not sure why people are complaining. They did this for the players
This post is just ridiculous. Also u realise that ur comparison is not THAT great bcuz watching a stream for 45 Minutes a day is way easier than watching a stream for 12h over 2 days for normal people. And the funny thing: ur comparison based on percentage is just false. If I need to watch 45 Minutes from a 1h stream u have to watch 75%. If u watch 12h from a 15h stream its 80%. So u tried to tell us it was nice from u that we had to watch βlessβ for better rewards but u didnt check the math? Holy..
Twitch account is unbanned but don't see the 'live' replay
I think itβs awesome that players spent 15 hours watching and canβt even get the drops that kabam gave out. Both my twitch and kabam (game) accounts have been linked for over a year and I have never gotten any drops. All I get is a run around with kabam telling me to contact Twitch and then Twitch telling me to contact kabam. Yeah the stream was awesome but you canβt act like youβre helping us with bigger drops when most canβt claim them. Iβve have been playing this game since the first week it was released and I have been to every single live stream you ever had. I am very disdisappointed in how you have been treating the players over the years and it doesnβt look like you even will. Very disappointing kabam.
Iβd been watching your content since I first started playing the game years ago, long before you joined Kabam. Youβve always been my favorite MCOC YouTuber, and honestly, no one else even comes close.
Thatβs why your response really surprised me. I hope it doesnβt reflect who you truly are, and that everything I admired about you wasnβt just a faΓ§ade. Didn't expect this from you.
I think you have to remember that a large portion of the players on the forum are only interested in ragebaiting Kabam employees, and those employees are human. Everyone can have a bad day, everyone can have a moment when they let their guard down and respond in a human way to constant ragebaiting and complaints. Actually, I've seen several times where someone from Kabam has posted something snakry (fair but snarky) and edited the post. This idea that ragebaiters on the forum can just post whatever they want and any unfiltered response from Kabam is unprofessional is yet another form of ragebait.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't agree 100% with Dave's position, but as with all things he's partly correct (they did set up the restreams to placate community demand) and partly incorrect imo ( having to stream 12 hours for drops is not really cool).
Does no one in this company think before they speak? Itβs not like you let that slip out in the moment, either. You took the time to type that then chose to press post. You know how many times i type something then reread it and am like, βyou know i better reword, retype, or delete that completelyβ, and thatβs for personal stuff that doesnβt matter, NOT FOR MY JOB. Zero professionalism from kabam as always. After the summoner fest i was really starting to get excited about game and was thinking about starting to spend again. Thanks for reminding me that i definitely should not because we are dirt on a shoe to you people.
Can we get something clear here.
MCoC have an international release, with players around the world in different time zone.
Kabam access and profited from players around the world spending money on the game.
Kabam HAVE to cater for all of their players, including creating a fair and accessible rewards to all players.
How they go about it is part of their business plan that they should already have in place, the game have been running for 10 years plus.
Whatever happened with Twitch, the rewards and banned issue is down the Kabam, as a company they and whomever overseeing the Marketing and Community department should have know Twitch ToS.
As to why the community is upset with Kabam, is creating a requirements of 12 hours viewing to obtain the rewards, then blame the community when Kabam broke the ToS of Twitch.
While it is understandable why a Kabam staffs might be stress and upset with these issue after a long weekend of working, it is definitely unacceptable (or professional) for them to lashed out and blame the community.
This is right after the CEO saying that Kabam are listening and will be more players focus.
Broski, they needs to just shut down the forums at this point. All you have here is a bunch of crybabies angry at their pathetic lives and blaming Dork for it.
I think people need to realize there are human beings working on this game. That doesn't mean they're above reproach. It just means they're like the rest of us. They have feelings.
They worked very, very hard on this. It wasn't just standing in front of a camera for 8 hours at a time and exchanging pleasantries. Weeks of preparation went into this.
Then you have people coming for you because the Crystal wasn't a Titan Selector Nexus, which I have yet to see in the game. So you take responsibility for the wording, and it's thrown back in your face. That would make anyone react.
We have the right to expect whatever we want, but a) if that's not realistic we can't be surprised when people don't measure up to it, and b) we need to be willing to look at how WE adhere to those expectations.
We don't just have the right to **** on people willy-nilly just because it's their job.
It's a common mindset though. Ever seen someone making demands at a McDonalds like they're at a 5-star restaurant and then throwing a tantrum at the poor worker?
The world is full of these people who want luxury service but aren't luxury clients so they start demanding VIP service in ordinary consumer settings, like the DMV or McDonalds or a video game forum.
Hi @GroundedWisdom ,
I fully agreed with you that everyone involved in the world of MCoC are all human (apart from those damn AI that keep walking towards us players π€£).
And you are right, as human we all make mistake that is all part of being human. Also do think that we all together, players CCP and Kabam should be better at communicating, respecting , emphasising and supporting each other more.
MCoC players is a massive community, with players all over the world, and many with English as a 2nd, 3rd language, and while we would want all of our players to communicate with each other clearly, with logic and respect, we can realistically accept that is hard to achieve with the size of players in MCoC. So any experience forum members would know not to get too upset over a little comment by someone, even more so with a Kabam's staff.
Kabam employees are filtered, they are interviewed and hired into the role for their strengths, when mistaken happened (and to be honest it does happen a lot with MCoC) it does tick the community in the wrong way. As an employee of Kabam and experienced and knowledgeable like Dave should know better than that (and don't get me wrong I really like Dave, KMike and Pinwheels)
I think as a human being it important and helpful as the process of growing and learning to recognise accountability.
I accept that Dave (and everyone else work at Kabam) are just like us, good day and bad day, overwork and stress will make us lose our balance, I'm sure Dave know time like those best to stand back, breath and refocus. But sure mistake happen. For me I would/will have a lot more respect if Dave just pop in a say,
"hey listen my bad, it been a rough weekend, I'm really proud of what we done over the weekend, so got a bit worked up about those issue, I shouldn't have said what I said, and will try to be better next time"
Od course I'm a nobody, so what I say or my opinion would mean nothing to Dave, but that is just my 2 cents.
@Anotherconcernplayer
It's a game, don't take it so seriously. Games are meant to be played for fun.
Is 12 hours excessive? Sure but if you want the rewards, that's what is required.
It's not like you have to sit in front of the screen watching the whole 12 hours. Just put it on and go about tour day. That's what I did. But i was not able to get the full 12 hours for all the rewards.
Also, I have never spent money on this game so it doesn't bother like it does other people.
Hi @TotemCorruption ,
Back in the day when I was studying, I worked in many jobs, catering, dishwasher, Burger King. I was thankful to have a job , so very one of those jobs I give my all to it, I treated every customers with repect, every customers are Sir and Madam, not because they are better than me, but because I believe in good customer service.
I always believe that the cheapest way for any company to increase their turnover is by investing in good customer services. This can be achieve by creating a positive working environment, where staffs are proud of their jobs, whatever it might be.
However our views is, it is not hard to see that right now the relationship between Kabam and their customers are not in a great shape. If the CEO of the company have to come and say they will be more players focus then, something clearlt is not righr.
Hi @Chilling421 ,
You are completely right, and I did the same, put the Stream on, put my phone on charge and went on my day, cooking, cleaning and having dinner. I got to say it is the least engaging I have event been for a stream, hence I think I more engaged with come of the YT CC. The rewards design was poor to say the least, but Kabam Pinwheels did said it wad their first time something like this, so thing can be improved in the future, which is fair enough. π
I'm actually pretty chill, learning from @SirGamesBond ,
For me this isn't about the game itself, let face we are not playing the game right now, too busy on the forum π€£.
It is more have we treating each other, how Kabam treat the players and even how the players treat Kabam.
Just thought to engage on some polite discussion between fellows Summoners who might have a different view point from me, with I think is health.
But I will take your advice to heart, I do feel like I spend way too much time the forum, instead of grinding Arena.
Have a good day buddy π
To be honest, I didn't find his response to be that inappropriate. A bit short, but it wasn't that rude. I think people like to conflate things at times.
The truth is, it's a lot kinder than I would be to people accusing me of view farming and being sadistic, when I wanted to do something for people at home.
I think onus is good, but I also think this community has a habit of putting every word under a microscope at times.
mine so Kabam says re set the timer link was not saying 238 hrs before retry so I tapped on it only to be 335 hours before re try
so fed up now twitch can stay un linked after the 14 days remaining,Iβll never watch another stream as Iβm always submitting tickets to claim the drops
I think it all depends on how the company view their customers. I understand the feeling and frustration part of it. However, as a customers facing person, it should not be handling like this unless it was greenlighted.
Of course, the players will throw a tantrum on everything but they should manage it properly even they don't want to, because the only winner here is always the firm as they always earn revenue.
Hey all, just want to clear a few things up before we close out this thread.
First and foremost, I owe the community at large an apology for how I responded earlier in the thread. In response to an accusation of engagement farming, I laid out the (poorly worded ) reasoning for exactly why we re-stream our content, which was to enable as many Summoners as possible to participate regardless of timezone. To be clear, this had nothing to do with our ban. And because I had eyes on what our actual issue was with Twitch being music copyright, I failed to realize others did not have that same context and only had speculation to go off of at the time. Additionally, I think after Summoners Fest, I was caught off guard in reading some of the feedback and my response lacked measure in a deliberate choice to deliver it bluntly and sarcastic. That's not okay. And for that, I apologize. Not my best day, and not my best work.
As you probably know by now, the truth was never blaming the Community for our ban. But my actions lent fuel to that speculative fire, and I take full responsibility for that.
I'll do better moving forward. See you all around the Battlerealm.
Much respect, Dave.
Great to hear your sincere apology :)
As far as im concerned you don't own anybody an apology, people just need to stop whining about everything.
"The customer is always right" is complete BS. So many whiners around here that need a dose of reality. It's pathetic how entitled people are.
Much respect to you Dave, you truly are a big man.
Have a good weekend π
Respect for owning up to it and apologising. I and many others in the community watched you from the YT tutorial days and we do truly support you. I for one am rooting for you and appreciate all the effort you put into the summoners fest hosting and the streams. I'm fact I wish you would return to the monthly streams but that's a separate topic. I suppose it was surprising receiving this kind of communication from you because I saw you as a bridge between the community and Kabam. So it was quite disheartening to read what was previously posted. The player base will always have complainers but rightfully so, a higher standard is expected from representatives of a company, who are tasked with communicating professionally on their behalf. I hope both sides can work towards empathy most of all.
Looks like they now Just don't care, pretending as if nothings wrong!
