I'm probably a very similar age, or at least age bracket; and the whole thing seems really, really bizarre to me.

Genuinely - I've no problem at all with Twitch drops for the usual livestreams. I totally get them as a reward for watching.

But... Twelve hours? I mean really, what proportion of people actually watched twelve hours of whatever it was getting streamed?

These drops aren't a reward for watching.

They're a reward for being organised enough to disable your computer's automatic power-off, and going to sleep.

after Kabam said they had reset the link 2 days ago 5 days ago you had screenshots from the 9th nov with confirmation that they had been claimed but not received in game

It just hadn't been done before. I wasn't questioning the decision, I was questioning whether or not it could actually be implemented. I certainly appreciate the option.

There has been a lot of communication around these Twitch Drops.

We have said many times that drops would go until today, at 6pm PST - this is the most recent announcement from yesterday afternoon.

The drops were a bust but oh well. That was such short notice from the last update to the end. Is what it is though and I understand it’s not the community managers fault. You guys have to work with whatever Kabam gives you.

It’s not a good feeling atm but I’ll get over it. Just makes me wonder why play a game that often causes frustration lately. I miss what it was a few years ago.

I'm going to go ahead and close this thread out now. But I'll leave you all with a few clarifications to close out this chapter.

24 hour Twitch ban was always about a music copyright where the white list from our production partner did not clear in time resulting in a flag. It was never about Twitch Drops ToS, nor restreaming or anything of the like, and there is literally no proof of this.
No one on the Community Management team ever once blamed the community at large for the Twitch ban. Seeing as #1 is the truth, this should make more sense now.
I personally did get a little too spicy ( Apologized ) with a reply to engagement farming accusations with regards to re-streaming. Again, had nothing to do with the Twitch ban.

I love this community dearly having been a part of it from day 1 and would never blame others for something that was clearly not their fault, further I would never blame them for something that had literally nothing to do with the actual problem.

Hopefully we can all move forward now.
