My account says it is permanently closed. I didn't do anything for this to happen.

I mean, the screen clearly says you did something to violate the ToS, so you did something.

Allow someone to play on your account? Play someone else's account? Download third-party software like an APK? Download Google Play from a third party because you're in China where Google is banned?

There's quite a few options.
