Tell me you don't understand business and consumer psychology without telling me
I only have 2 possible options to use the site: with nexus to read a champ kit if it's new to me and to see how the sig scales. And it's only kabam to blame we can't don't have it in the game itself. For some the prestige thing may also be useful, but it's same thing. It may be different for some players, but I can only assume most people who use it don't spend money on the game either. I find it hard to expect they will pay for the site. If you limit your audience to spending players, it's hard to imagine it working on a freemium bases. So paywall is kinda expected. Lastly, I can only assume the site is hosted in a cloud given some bots scraping gives huge cost increase. But somehow auntmai is still running, and most importantly I wonder how does that site gets the data that we don't have available anywhere else? If it's always manually updated, that's a horrible unsustainable solution. If it's available somewhere on kabams apis, I wonder why those scrapers won't use those instead as well
I agree that it's a bad move but they already closed the site once before. The site can easily be gone tomorrow.
You're such a blight on these forums and never have anything worthwhile to say. Where, in my post, did I say it was the right move?
You're not that guy pal trust me. Sit down.
Honestly a good point. Charging to access information that is not his and he (presumably) does not have a license sell commercially. Wonder how Kabam feels about this.
When Uru demons gas themselves up on forum BS. Again, where did I say anything about this being a good option?
I actually support the site btw and have forgotten more about this game and life than you’ve ever known kid.
Last season I saw him m2.saw the ign...wasn't hard to connect the dots.
I use
mcoc.gg
Who knows how much longer this one will go, because Auntm.ai was the one I used for the longest but apparently the creator doesn’t get money to run it. So yea can’t blame him or konshu
kabam yall need to take notes and make something like this
there is always this other options which is pretty decent https://www.mcoc.gg/
Yeah this is the one people will probably move to from now on
MCOC.gg is a very nice site and has a lot of things we all need so yeah a very good alternative to Konshu's
how long till
needs support? Let’s hope it holds up whoever is making/supporting it.
Free Mcoc site with same info = https://cocpit.org/
Double post
i don't actually. people go to stores to buy food when they can just be farmers and make it all for free. you likely didn't read or perhaps unable to comprehend what i said. my point was exactly what you're doing. expecting "something" for free. i'm fully aware of how this will turn people off but what i was saying is the development and information provided is worth a mere $3, $5 or $10 a month when you consider the community function is serves … but I totally get it and you prove my point of how we all just want free free free free.
there are sites out there so you're welcome to visit those until development stops or they too realize the cost at which to develop these things outweighs "doing something for teh fans". development costs .. time, money etc and if you're using a service and it's providing something of value then me personally i don't mind $5 a month.
You literally understood nothing of what I have been saying but go off
This 👆
Sites like these should be eligible to be part of the Content Creator Program. Give them a code like the YouTubers to get a piece of the action
They are, mcoc.gg has a code.
That's because BrutalDLX made the site.
Running a site, no matter what is out there costs money…I understand the devs issues. That said, we saw when the load hit AuntM and he couldn't manage the financials either. I don't use these sites very often but when you build something targeting a mobile game…well, these are the "walls" (no pun intended) that you run into. Do we as users really need something like this…new users maybe, vets no, really…nice to have but not need to have. But I do appreciate the effort on their part. Who: Kabam can easily support them and possibly find a way to acquire equity percentage as part of their "value add" to us…their numbers are not going to be huge. CCP, they can pool 10 bucks a month since they would be able to use the system to help create "revenue generating" content, but that won't happen, content creators are typically only about themselves.(which is fair I guess) End Result: Need to have…No Nice to have…Yes Will they fall off the proverbial MCOC universe, probably. The global economy is not that great and if they don't share details of their cost metrics, paywalls are questionable because users will need to know what their runway will look like if they do invest/subscribe. just my 2 cents Peace
Did you just say "when people can just be farmers and make it all for free"? 🤣🤣🤣
That has got to be one of the worst takes I've ever seen on these forums, and that's saying something.
Obviously you know nothing about farming, or the costs that go along with said farming.
This is exactly how I felt about it when I saw that the information comes at a cost now. Why doesn’t Kabam provide a similar informational interface for players to improve quality of life? Also, I would never pay a 3rd party a monthly subscription fee to get game information that I’m too lazy to piece together on my own.
clearly you can read. so go do something else on the internet mate instead of claiming you don't understand the point. you and whomever else is expecting this guy or anyone else to do something for free or cite any "oh it's free so why pay" surely can decipher the point but maybe there's a reason you can't and that's another subject for whatever educational system you managed to get through. speaking of costs and not understanding "because we be farmers around teh webz and we pays teh monies too" is again proving my exact point. screaming about farming costs and yet complaining about paying $5 is ironic.
let me speak your level of understanding then … nevermind.
That’s very unfortunate, I liked the site but won’t be paying for it. I’m using cocpit.org now and it works well.
I haven't used that site yet, tbh. But I still think it’s a shame that people are so passionate about this game and create tools to help the entire playerbase only to, understandably, run out of steam or ways to keep doing it. I’ve said before that Kabam should sponsor these guys, but I guess that feels like “paying for nothing” ? If it’s just something that improves our player experience.
Paying for good marketing and someone to incentivise spending? That they know how to do. And no, I don’t think that’s wrong — Kabam is a business, fair enough. But ignoring the other side of that coin is exactly what makes it all look scummy.
The game still doesn’t have a proper recruiting or alliance-advertising feature. It doesn’t even have a proper communication feature. A forum category that’s supposed to pass as a recruiting hotspot? Not even close to what they should be providing (raise a glass to fallen ClanHQ), when the game literally revolves around groups of 30 freaking people…
Focus on diversity and war strategy and placement? Figure it out for yourselves I guess (raise a glass to fallen Alliancewar from Jpags)
Info gathered and nicely presented in one spot? (Raise another glass for aunt mai)
Thank god we still have Cat around and some other saints who gather info for us on raids and relics.
Kbm is so shabby...
hey, let's change the forum layout (for the absolute worse) instead of maybe upgrading core functions of our game...
hey, be fair; the shiddy look of the forums is not their fault, it's the result of the forum service provider making changes to the forums. It's not something Kabam chose to do.
Forums not fixed for months, everything just blame on the provider
If this is another company, it would have been fixed within a week
That's how inefficient things are here, players have accepted and given up
This is how slow things work in Canada
Even in South Korea for Netmarble, things move much faster
