MCOC Evolution and Transparency-Not as promised?

I'm not sure we are seeing the Transparency that Kabam promised recently. We were made to believe that MCOC is evolving and it will not be like what we experienced in some recent months. But, unfortunately that's not the case, Kabam is still doing silly mistakes like 7* Base Pool update issue, and on top of that there is not ETA for it's Compensation. How much is that Transparent and evolution… I mean people had opened massive amount of crystals(months of savings and buying from store) only to know that there was no new champion in it. How is this happened like why can't they put those champions in base pool correctly in the first place, is it that difficult and even if they messed up then where is the Compensation. At least, we deserve to know when it's coming, what's the ETA. The Silence like nothing had happened is not good for the Game and Community.
@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex , please look into this and provide us some info.

I’m hoping the delay to compensation is so they figure out a better solution. The solution proposed massively devalues the game if we accept it as a community, but everyone is biased so the opinions on this forum are all over the shop.

The banquet pre-mortem and AI updates threads are a pretty good show of transparency. However, why are we getting piecemeal information on banquet rewards and milestones when historically it was published in detail in tables? Especially weird when the top 600 for r5 approach is an excellent step forward.

Kabam is doing loads and needs to reduce the amount of own goals, but there is definitely momentum and that can’t be a bad thing.

Delaying the comp for a better solution would be the most optimal thing to do but it's kabam so they wont do that

I think they would have indicated that somewhere given the community melted down for a week due to their response…

more likely they are simply waiting to roll at the comp at the end of the day some time in the future in the hope everyone just moves on after another 12-24 hours of backlash

I mean. They did string everybody along and lie about the Dark Phoenix rebalance until the literal last moment possible, so anything's possible. I don't take their silence as confirmation anymore I take it as cowardice to face their mistakes

If you want full transparency here it is.

When something like this goes wrong the comp process requires:

Someone from LO to decide what we are going to provide for compensation
Someone on the data team to produce the list of affected accounts and the compensation for each
Someone on LO to create the comp package in data
Someone on LO to write the comp message
Translation of the comp message into all of our official languages
QA testing of the comp message
Scaling our servers to send out the comp message

We got numbers 1-6 on that list done last week and the comp was scheduled to go out Thursday, but our engineering department requested we hold off until this week so they could double-check the server scaling plans. You'll recall a comp we sent out a few months ago crashed the servers and created a bunch of knock-on issues, obviously we want to make sure that doesn't happen again. So it will go out some time this week, as soon as we get the green light to hit send.

Appreciate the message, but whats the plan for those who saw the news about the crystals being bugged, and chose to wait for the issue to resolve and not take advantage of the bug for free rewards?

The people who opened without any awareness of the bug should definitely be comped, but there's a group of players that had no intention of opening (or opening the full stash) that opened on a whim solely because they knew a compensation would come their way if they "joined in".

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but there was a plethora of forum posts about it all throughout last week, given how large scale the rewards payout ism

For context, $100 in the Cyber Monday deals got you 100 sigs. Whereas this comp basically hands out several hundred sigs for free.

and how exactly are they supposed to determine those who opened “on a whim”? The reality is the dead horse has been beaten and people think they can resurrect the dead horse — it’s not happening.

Thank you Crash for the update. I felt a little bit in the dark with no update since the day of the bug. Appreciate the update a lot.

As to all the people upset about it - just know this. I do not feel like I "took advantage" of an "opportunity". Everyone makes it sound like I won the lottery. In reality I was truly very upset when I realized what had happened. I felt like 6 months of work was gone in a second. A truly devastating feeling. I had to wait several hours not knowing what Kabam was going to do compensation wise, wondering if it would properly restore all the effort that I just wasted.

Truth be told, I much rather would have had that crystal opening go as it was supposed to and NOT get double crystals. The immense frustration on December 2nd and the extra week of waiting for the "correct opening" was genuinely not worth the random extra sigs on my rank 1 and rank 2 champions I will never touch. The reason I saved was BECAUSE there was nothing left I wanted. I ONLY wanted the new champs, so anything besides them was worthless to me.

I promise this wasn't a game breaking comp (Kabam knows too, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it). I was not given hundreds of dollars of generic sig stones to use on whomever I wanted. I was not "lucky". I truly wish my first opening would've gone right as opposed to double crystals. I was inconvenienced and extremely frustrated by a bug and Kabam is making it 100% right.

It still doesn't explain why the compensation was different between this and the titan Zola issue, when you said nobody should be rewarded just for being lucky.

Now you did a 180 which is completely hypocritical. Would be good to explain why a sudden 180 was done in this case and if moving forward this is going to be the same. Why the window was extended last time but not this time etc.

Sorry, but it's hard to ignore that some are getting free sigs (random but still free), champions potentially, gold, iso and if duping, many titan shards, likely worth more than the Zola comp alone. All it takes is 25 crystals to beat 4 Odins worth of sigs, even though Odins were generic / a choice between generic and an awakening gem. For what many had saved it was a lot more than that. I would have had approx 45 crystals worth for instance, so twice would be 90.

Just a shame, as either this comp is expected to the titan Zola one wasn't enough, can't have it both ways, especially with the message used last time. Doubt it will be addressed but still worth mentioning.

Some dead horses are worth beating, otherwise nothing will change, and people who are fine with it now, may not be so lucky next time. It's not just about transparency but fairness as well.

The only just and fair suggestion/solution for the Compensation problem is that Kabam should give 1:1 crystals to affected players on all crystals opened in that window as promised, and with that they should give one 7 star Selector containing all 21 champions missing to all players including affected and non-affected players. (The Selector can be progression based).
