I don't at all. I let them pile up or open one crystal whenever I need a few 7 star shards in order to form a crystal.

I do not care about 6* materials or characters as much anymore. However, I open the featured crystals when new champions are out in hopes of getting them so I can play with them before they enter the titan.

as a reward, don’t care. Having access to them, do care. I still rank up peeps that aren’t available as 7 stars until the time they become available like rhino. I’ve got him rank 5 ascended sig 200 so he still puts in work

As a paragon I dont care about 6 stars the game showers you in 7 star shards when you hit paragon.

It has nothing to do with Valiant, its about how developed your roster is. I dont have cap brit as 7*, will be 6R5 her soon.

And seriously, flexing "As a valiant" entitlement in late 2025 is cheap, people get valiant in 4 days.

Your title & body are asking two different things.

By "6* resources" you mean rank-up materials, rank up gems, sig stones etc. then yes.

If it's 6* shards or crystals, then no. I hoard them only to get max sig crystals.

Only recently got the 6* immortal iron fist, hoping to awaken him the same way 😁

As a valiant with a decent 7r3 roster and early stage 7r4 roster, i still care about 6*s. The reason is i am more casual player and dont necessarily grind everest content or battlegrounds. I therefore dont open titans too often and a lor of my 2025 champs are 6*s.

I see this continuing because i need it only for roster depth (event quest, specific counters for some everest content) and a 6r5a/6r4a works for me. That being said, i am ok witha tune down on 6* shards in event-based modes because we already get plenty in normal play. This applies to 6* sig stones, which are in significant overflow at this stage.

everyone is a valiant these days so hardly a flex. But anyone upgrading 6* will b at the very least surprising.

At some point, even 7* shards are only a means to acquire the next higher tier of crystal. For me, 6* shards pile up and serve to add to 7* shards. If I have the Sigil, I’m quickly maxxed on the amount I can exchange and waiting for a month to do it again.

I hoard them until the featured crystal changes. Then I get those to get some of the new champs to test them out and will rank up some that are useful. The added bonus is that whenever I rank up one of those, I seem to pull the 7* (gambler’s fallacy).

It’s not easy to get all the characters in 7 star version. The six star characters can be useful in monthly quests, story, crucible and arenas. It’s better to invest resources in 7 stars first. I only rank 6 stars that I like or I can’t get as 7 star version. There are characters that don’t want to be in my roaster even as 6 star version like Silk. It’s RNG or luck. The six star champs duplicates give 7 star chards. If you have six and seven stars of the same character, you should rank the 7 star even if it’s not duped.

I largely do not open six star crystals anymore. I occasionally use an ascended six star rank 5 on Elder quest but that's about it.

Honestly, I think the game is kind of in a weird place. I don't actually know what the answer is, but I have zero excitement about 6 stars or 7 stars. I don't want 8 stars because I don't want to start that expensive grind over again but I'm also kind of melancholy about really any crystals. At this point the most excited thing I personally find is the hunt for Doom.
