CCP Practice Maps

We all know CCP gets a huge advantage by having full access to champs in advance, but they also get relevant practice maps.
So my question is, why can't everyone have access to the practice maps? I understand they can't give early access of champs to everyone, but why not the practice maps? So we can at least have the same opportunity practicing against meta relevant defenders and health pools as they do?

Because it would make content easier which means they'd have to make insanely difficult defenders to compensate.

The CCP do have an advantage but they also massively benefit the community with guides and reviews, which takes them a lot of time. I've played in Tier 1 for very a long time and still consider myself ignorant on how most champs work. Coming out with good guides is not an easy job.

I never said otherwise, I understand why they get early access to champs, as well as other "percs". My point is why can't we all have access to the same practice maps. It's just maps with relevant defenders and health pools, and I don't see the harm in giving everyone a better practice platform

The comment above already explains the main reason. It would make the content easier, which means players like you could practice tough defenders and use fewer revives. Then the devs would have to put in extra effort to make even harder nodes and defenders, and that’s not good for the game overall.

CCPs don’t really gain much from a practice map. The benefit is small at best. They’re already skilled enough and don’t need it anyway—you don’t grow a big YouTube channel by being bad at the game. The map mostly helps them show off champions.

Look what happened with fortnite when they released practice/playground mode. The skill level with building/editing increased exponentially

If your really struggling with a certain defender, you easily just duel your own with a champ of equal or lesser rank/rarity.

The problem with practice maps is actually subtle, and it isn't what most people say. Most people say the reason everyone doesn't have access to them is it would make content easier, and Kabam doesn't want to make content easier. That's actually not precisely true. It wouldn't make content easier. Rather, it would force Kabam to make content harder to compensate for the fact everyone had access to practice maps.

Except practice maps wouldn't actually benefit everyone. It would only benefit the people willing to spend a lot of time using practice maps. So the practice maps would help the few who used them, meanwhile the content itself would get harder for everyone. The actual net effect would be for the game to get harder for most players, to compensate for it getting easier for a few players. It would be a net negative for the entire game community.

The same is true to some degree even when the CCP gets access. But in that case, it is only a few players with that access: the net impact on the game as a whole because they might be a bit better at content clearing is relatively small, and doesn't affect the community in a noticeble way. But they benefit the community a lot by virtue of the content they generate. The overall impact on everyone is a net positive: they do not drag the game averages up by much directly, but they benefit a wide range of players with their content.

Providing access publicly would be a net negative to the players, even if many of them do not realize this, so its not a good idea. Providing access to the CCP members is a net positive, so that's how that works.

That's fine if you want to practice dexing specials or something, but the main value is being able to test specific rank/sig champs against meta relevant health pools and gauging what rotation (and how many) can take them down, how fast, etc.. Not to mention you may not have the champ you want to practice against, or lower rarities of the champ you want to use.. and worst of all, you can't use pre fights.. So while it's nice to be able to practice that way, it's not even close to the same.

I really don't think it would have nearly the effect everyone is saying it would. We fight all these defenders over and over anyway. Not to mention the meta is always changing, and they can craft fights with nodes, etc.. so I don't see how allowing us to practice in this way would have any substantial negative effect. It would simply allow us to prepare for BG's a little better, crafting our knowledge of champs and interactions better, which should be encouraged.

You can fit every member of the ccp into one of the bigger conference rooms at kabam headquarters. There are at least 400k active bg players who have scored points in this current season so far. That's a huge scaling issue, and unless they add a price tag, what's the upside for kabam to open up their internal sandbox environment? I'm fine with the solo raids, and if they want to try something with a select few rotating champs, maybe that's a Sigil bonus.
