Alliance Rewards Event
Let me preface this by stating that I am completely aware that anyone who joins an alliance before banquet has to wait the 14 days to be able to claim rewards from the alliance event.
When the banquet started, I was prepared to withhold spending until the 14 day timer expired, for obvious reasons. I joined the alilance 4 days before banquet, so I'd have to wait 10 days after the start of banquet to be able to earn points and claim rewards.
However, I opened some of the superior crystals from the alliance war event and the accolades event, because those were not purchased and would make minimal contribution so I didn't bother waiting to open those. The important thing to note here is that these crystals EARNED ME POINTS towards the alliance event. I was at 3,400 points in the alliance event but unable to claim rewards (14 day timer).
I then assumed the 14 day timer only applied to claiming rewards, not earning points for the alliance event, and that if I spent my money I'd be able to open the crystals, rack up the points NOW, and claim the rewards AFTER the timer expired. So I did this. I bought all four of the $50 USD deals (11 banquet crystals & minion crystal per). Now, I see that my point total for the alliance is still at 3,400. I essentially was led on into thinking that the timer only counted for CLAIMING and not EARNING POINTS. I submitted a ticket and was met with a standard, unhelpful response. I would like to know how I can go about being compensated for this. Thanks in advance.
