Is there something wrong with the drop rates on awakening gems?

In every discord server or line group I'm in, littered throughout the game chat itself; you'll find incessant complaints of people receiving the same class awakening gem over and over again.

Myself, for example, If I'm not mistaken, 6/7of my last awakening gems have been mystic.

Are they incorrectly coded to specifically aim to give people the same class over a new one? Is it just confirmation bias to the tune of hundreds of people saying the same thing?

I'd love to get feedback from the rest of the community about this because I'm genuinely beginning to think there's a problem here.

It's simply just RNG.

FWIW I got 4 gems since friday and they are of 4 different types, Mystic, Mutant, Science and Skill.

The fact that it's happening to so Many people means something is definitely wrong, on my main account I keep getting tech, on my sub I keep getting cosmic

I think it’s all RNG… but they need a trade in or something so we can trade so many AG’s for a selector.

I see people saying AG’s aren’t valuable and then you find they have an even distribution. Then you have people like me that would take a generic AG over a 3-4 gem at the moment for a Christmas gift…because it has been anything but even and there is one champ we need awakened but can’t get the gem.

I have pulled science 7 of my 11 7* awakening gem shard crystals since they’ve been introduced - I didn’t know there was a pattern of this until seeing this post. It’s so frustrating. And currently I have pulled 5 consecutive... I used one on Scorpion this week & another on Void. Had 6 in inventory couple days ago - screenshot is just for reference. I know “RNG” is the response, but it at least *feels* to be more intricate than that seeing this thread.

5 mystic, 6 tech, 1 science 1 mutant. Ggs. I need 5 skill ags at this point.

My last 5 gems have been, science, mutant, mutant, cosmic, cosmic. I'm fine with it sometimes that's just how rng works, now if someone could tell the titans to stop giving me Miss Baldy I'd appreciate it, she's sitting at a natural sig 100 right now, lol.

Yup, of my last 7 gem openings, 4 of them have been science. And I still have all 4 of them just sitting there cause they have no use.

I have at least two uses for literally every other class. But nope… give me another science I guess.

In last 6 attempts, I got 5 tech and 1 mutant. Not sure what's happening here, just wrong end of RNG or some issue with these gems

I had 7 techs in a row, since banquet I got 2 ags, one science then tech again... I have 2 techs sitting there, every tech champ pulled and awakened.. deffo something not right, deffo would like a 1 time trade in

There is as much wrong as there is something wrong with 99.99% of slot machines at a casino...

The thing about RNG or Probability is that getting
Skill > Skill > Skill > Skill > Skill > Skill
is the same as that of getting
Skill > Mutant > Tech > Cosmic > Mystic > Science

The initial complaints are bad distribution … then you see people chime in with great distribution. It’s always like that

The frustration is the latter group simply doesn’t value AG’s since all their needs are covered. The initial group overvalues them because they can’t get the one they need and keep multiplying ones they have no use for.

Yep exactly.

Cause for concern would be if everyone in the game was only getting science gems. This seems like normal distribution.
