RNG in unranked battlegrounds

Well it’s not everyday you get to match against Kabam employee in battlegrounds

I’m just trying to get battlegrounds objectives done for that small amount of trophy tokens -_-

I didn't know Bittersteel was a Kabam employee. He was one of the most helpful people when the gauntlet came out, looking over my roster and everyone else who asked and providing suggestions of help and crafting people's teams.

Should be a current employee but I haven't heard of him or seen him in Kabam twitch streams

If you matched with him in unranked that means your accounts were comparable enough to match. Dont see the complaint here

Who was complaining ? They just showed a cool pairing, outside of Ranked mode.

And with several Employees there, makes sense Ackbar (Stream Recap posts) is in there too, probably good sources for posting more complete and accurate info in their nice Stream Recaps.

You obviously haven't played many unranked matches if you think the matchmaking is "comparable" in unranked.

Before banquet I had 11 r4's and regularily got matched with players with full r4 decks still.

Or I woild get matched with players who still hald half their deck as 6*'s.

If by comparable you mean +/- 5/6k prestige, sure.... 🤣

Even in unranked bg's their matchmaking sucks half the time.

It could be in part of significant lack of people playing unranked, which wouldn't be surprising since the mode currently has practically nothing going for it. Which is also not surprising, since that was the intention.

I get there's not much going for it and there's not supposed to be, but the WHOLE POINT of it was for people to be matched by roster strength, and that's not happening.

Alot of people use it just for their trophy tokens, or to test new champs, but the fact people still get matched with people 5-6k more or less prestige than them is just plain stupid.

UUnranked BG's is literally supposed to be there to prevent that. 🤣

But much like regular BGs, you can only match against people that are playing. If no one close is playing, then the search expands.

It's literally a game mode birthed from the complaints of a minority in the player base. And many of those players came back to complain about the lacking rewards (which they were warned about). Expectations for its success can only be so

So them matching you against a player with a stacked roster is the answer?

No, it should have set parameters, and people playing it can wait for a match against a player of their own strength, or play ranked. It's really that simple.

Again, the whole point of it was to prevent being matched against stacked rosters. There's absolutely no point to it if players are going against rosters double their strength anyways.

The fact your argument is "well that's just how matchmaking works or they would have to wait longer" is asinine when the whole point of it is literally to match against rosters your own strength.

How the hell is it any different than playing ranked bg's at that point?

This wasn't a complaint since there is nothing big at stake here, no GC points lost or won

I played enough battlegrounds to know what matchmaking is like in unranked, VT and GC

I just thought it's cool to show I hit the RNG in battlegrounds matchmaking, maybe someday I will get to match against the other Kabam employees out there or heavy forum users

But the emote gated behind 300 points in GC is going to be hard for the vast majority who collects emote for fun, just saying
