Thoughts on X23 / Jane

So, I am reading and watching a lot extreme reactions to both.
Crazy/ Insane/ Monster vs Worst/ Mid/ Underwhelming
As of now, where are do they stand as 7*r4's ? Or is it still early days?

They are both fun to play with.

Jane is a big damage dealer, with stagger and, if awakened, she can nullify power gain, fury buffs and inflict a 40-80% whiter debuff.

I have Jane unawakend and wasnt impressed but there is an exceedingly good chance I'm doing it wrong.

Jane with the iron fist relic is bananas and fun to play.

X-23 on the other hand. Still trying to see any silver lining

Ehhh they're fun, but if you have most of the top champs in game already they don't really bring much to the table simply because they're slower, same consistency just slower. If you're in the process of growing your account sure they can come in handy but for advanced players there's really not that much value unless you want to use them purely because they're fun to use.

I said "slower than" not "slow" there is a difference, I have tested mine and Serpent is a 60-70 sec fight which yeah not bad, Thanos is 50 which is great but then she can't do Dark Phoenix and Maestro has been irrelevant for a while. You could make an argument with Kushala and say they're interchangeable but up here in M1, I'd have to be drunk to drop Nico Pav or Abs for her lol

I don’t understand the negative reception X23, when Deadpool X-Force had a positive reception despite being very similar.

Is it justst because he could take Onslaught? X-23 has more utility, is fun to play, and can output damage relatively quickly.

Is she really good against serpent and dthanos? I usually ban DP so these two are the most common defenders I deal with.

Don't sleep on Jane foster I know she's been consistently ranked at the bottom of tier lists from YouTubers but I decided to rank 3 her and I'm genuinely happy she has really good damage and decent utility with the staggers, and her awakening is really good against power gains because they just can't reach that sp3 with the wither

This is potentially one of the most ignorant comments you've ever made and highlights the importance of BGs which you obviously don't play lol just because they both apply bleeds doesn't mean they're very similar. X-23 is completely and utterly useless against bleed immune or stun immune, DPX's main source of damage isn't bleeds it's the passive shbleed dooboofs which nobody in the entire game is immune to. You know how people used to call Galan a top 3 cosmic and why he probably still is a top 5? Yeah that's because nothing is immune to his damage, very few things can actually modify it and it's extremely hard to shut down fully. Having a source of damage nobody is immune to is his utility and it is potentially some of the strongest utility in the entire game which is why we don't have that many champs who have it.

Yes I should have specified techs because most bleed immune defenders in the game are tech, DPX works for techs too tho. You're not going to be using X-23 for someone like Gentle, the rupture thing is mostly for Korg and that's the main issue I have with X-23, she is designed to counter the skill class but outside of that, not much she can do to compete with the rest of the champs from the other classes.

Again, this is from a BGs perspective, I know some like the dude up there love the "not everyone plays BGs" argument and yes that's very true but it is what most people base their rank ups around no matter how much he wants to bang his head against the wall and say the same thing over and over again.

II'll Never understand the glaze for Jane, people are going to forget about her the way they did iBom and Apoc.

It's not that the Champs are bad it's that they're competing in classes with far better champions.

If Kabam we're smart, they would put Mephisto in 2026 HOF.

We already have NIco, tigra, pavit, abs, kushala etc as attackers, we dont need more random mystic attacker buffs, we need better defenders. Enchantress is basically nonexistent in todays meta

People in M1 are using Guardian for Serpent in the current GC meta and actually winning, I've done Serpent with Yondu full hp, I've done Red Skull with DPX full hp, Tilapia who went to the Battlerealm Brawl uses Cassandra for Zola and it's a 100% hp fight too. Sometimes you have to because bad drafts put you in those situations, I feel like a lot of these comments are literally coming from Uru players at this point lol

X-23 has the ability to place Ruptures against non-Tech bleed immunes. Sure the potency is lower, but she is not “utterly useless against bleed immune” like you are hyperbolically arguing.

Rupture immunity is rare, and she has more Utility. Not sure why you’re so triggered by the DXF comparison.

For BGs purposes yes it is because one evisceration stun cycle isn’t going to kill if they’re bleed immune unless you ramped higher than usual which wastes more time, Korg himself is a 60 sec fight, Man Thing takes nearly 80 secs 😂 that’s not that good for a 2025 mutant champ. DPX doesn’t lose any damage from a defender being bleed immune the damage is just as huge, this is why your comparison is dumb. You are asking why people are hating on X-23 and not on DPX lol DPX is a mutant nuke that handles not only the skill class but at least one meta defender from every other class and he nukes every single one of them in 40 secs consistently, meanwhile X-23 is really only there to counter non bleed immune skills because for the bleed immune ones she’s very slow, 60 secs on a same rank Korg is even slower than Negasonic.

As for her utility it’s all tailored around skill champs particularly bleed damage on block and evade, the pursuit however isn’t that reliable against non skill because it’s too short AI can easily screw you over and you just lose it.

I’m not triggered, I’m just pointing out you’re very ignorant when it comes to the game’s meta because you look at everything from a “I’m gonna use this champ in Act 4 and prove they’re great” perspective. If you looked at it from a competitive pov which is where kits matters the most you would know why people are calling X-23 very underwhelming and not DPX.

My issue with X23 is her regen isn't as strong as compared to her previous state. Other than that she's super fun to play and she can do more now. Jane Foster I like her much more now after her buff I would be happy to see Jane Foster show up.

@ItsClobberinTime ,is Jane really an option instead of Kushala. I just realised my Kushala is still r1 for some reason. Maybe I'll rank Jane up instead then.

Definitely is, she is in fact faster than Kushala for both Maestro and Thanos the only downside is Kushala is tankier and has way more survivability, Serpent they’re about just as fast but Jane does need sig 200 preferably for that one. Like I said they’re interchangeable I don’t think there’s a “yes this one is better” answer it’s more of a “they’re both just as effective so it’s up to you” so yes if you don’t want to rank up Kushala, Jane is just as much of a good choice.
Another unfortunate thing is AI has really hurt Kushala as of late for me personally so that has lowered some of her value a bit more as well.

I will say that x23 feels a lot better awakened. The boost to vicious is pretty noticeable
