Web Store Xsolla Gift Card Warning PSA

Just wanted to share this if anyone else happens to buy an Xsolla Gold gift card with the hopes of spending it in the web store. I purchased one as a gift for my cousin, who’d hoped to use it to get a good deal with the addition of market and holiday points. He topped up the funds, but for some reason they won’t show in the balance when choosing the Xsolla gold option for payment. After emailing back and forth with support, they eventually responded that this method might not work for MCOC. Just want to save anyone the trouble of being in the same situation! Pretty frustrating 🥴

Because on Xsolla site it literally says the list of games you can use on. And Mcoc isn’t one of them.

kind of weird, considering Kabam fully uses Xsolla, now, for all in-game and online web store transactions. I figured a gift card from them would work no problem. Thanks for pointing this out tho!

Google and Apple handle the in-game stuff, not Xsolla.

Your right! I misspoke there. I do want to mention that I had got him an iTunes gift card, at first, to use on the web store. That also didn’t work, as he didn’t have Apple Pay set up with a credit/debit card. Just a heads up for anyone trying to use a mere iTunes gift card on the web store. It doesn’t apply the same as an in-game purchase.
