it’s not terribly enjoyable, but the star lord piece is a pretty low point bar to clear. I’m just doing medium difficulty runs, leveled one podium, and should have no problem hitting the minimum. After that, I’m done till next month.

This count fight absolutely blows. Last time, it was actually somewhat, albeit a grind, but something fun. At least I can be free of this slop once I get the star lord piece

It takes 30 minutes to get two podiums to lvl 2. You low key scammed yourself if you spent 600 units

IM just gonna do one fight for all 5 podiums on hard and that'll be more than enough for the star lord piece. Did all 3 today and already over 500k without leveling up the podiums after the initial fight. Im perfectly fine with that.

You really don't need to throw your unit stash at this mode. I have reached 1.5 million points in under an hour andd could quit grinding and forget the next 2 days altogether.

we really need to band together as a community and tell kabam how horrible this game mode is and how ridiculous the grind is! If everyone just does the bare minimum to only get the starlord piece and doesn’t touch it from there, maybe they will understand!

It’s mostly just the podium leveling grind that’s a problem. I enjoy taking shots at a superboss much more than the monotonous grind of the same set of easy encounters in an AQ map even if it’s harder, but it’s not like most superboss fights (e.g. an EoP encounter) where you retry until you get a good solo and job done. You can get the best fight you’ll probably ever manage within your first few attempts… and then you have to repeat that 10 more times to actually get some more meat on that scoring run. It’s kinda demoralizing to have your good run set only for it to essentially “not count” until you grind some more.

I also think it’s weird that this only takes place over 3 days. If it’s replacing the 7 day AQ cycle, why not just let people put up scores the whole week? As is, it puts a lot more pressure to grind podium EXP quickly before the event ends, which in turn just makes the experience more frustrating than if you could ration those attempts out over a longer period of time.

I get that Kabam needed some way to monetize the new mode, and I appreciate the idea that podium levels give less skilled players a way to make up for poorer raw fight scores with time and effort, but it feels like it has too much impact on total fight scores in its current state for anyone to really feel comfortable ignoring it. The coliseum fights are not dynamic and difficult enough for me to enjoy throwing myself at them dozens of times, and it definitely shouldn’t be that difficult, but that’s exactly why the grind shouldn’t be such a prominent feature.

I enjoy the mode. Doing the same fight over and over isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I quite like it.
There are definitely changes that could improve it. I’d rather see the mode play out over a week. Appreciate we need to wait until when we would get normal AQ/Raids rewards, but then have the content run until Monday. At the moment there’s 4-7 day wait between finishing it and getting the rewards. Feels incredibly anticlimactic to have to wait for so long.

Yah this game mode has potential but right now it sucks. Having to grind or spend money to play sucks so bad. I don’t understand what they don’t understand about letting us play for free and having us enjoy the game so that we will spend on offers and events elsewhere. Also, who decided to have this only be 3 days long? Have one podium become available every day to spread it out and give us more time. Very unenjoyable game mode currently.

I'm dexing them. His sp2 hits hard once you reach the 4th health bar. I think it'll be interesting to see if Yelena gets tags on the 2 remaining days.

This and I got an igm during the last session, and they gave me another 112k of those and it said for the next run. And I checked today and they are gone? And that's an absurd amount that you need to upgrade all 5. And the price is nuts 60 units for 100 of the 112k needed for all 5 podiums? Idk man. It's a gnarly cash grab to me. If it was 10k for 60 units that seems more reasonable or even 5k but 100? Seriously?

Turns out rank 3 sig 0 deathless She Hulk can block all his unblockable specials and he'll throw them freely into her block without baiting them.

Yeah you'll take some chip damage but I'm on 507k points, I'm sure someone with much more skill than me could be at the first Stella Forge piece by now.

I'll get it comfortably within the 3 days, that's all I'm interested in.

First try, I went in with Yondu and ripped through Nefaria to qualify for the piece. It's a really fun and easy game mode if you have a good counter.
