First Appearance Champs....what's the big deal?

So maybe I missed something...outside of the fancy colors...what is the inherent value of a "first appearance" champ besides "vanity"?

Do you get more shards? do you get double sigs if you dupe?

I see so many people complaining about getting them 2 or 3 times or wanting one....I'm just trying to make sense of why the hype?

It's just an indicator that you're extra lucky or spent a lot of money. Punisher ain't God tier but I want to upgrade and show him off on my BG deck because he came from the best 1 hour of luck I've ever had in this game.
