There's no way it's a bug. It is the only consistent thing across all six chapters. Looks like it's just a nice change they made.

Why not? Bugs have been consistent on every update for 11 years...

If it is an actual conscious change then it’s a very nice one.

But I still want an EQ where you can use a team rather than this 1v1 stuff. But that’s just me.
