Its $10 for some Trophy Tokens and Titan Shards.

Something like this might be valuable to lower-level players who don't get a lot of Trophy Tokens or Titan Shards, and don't qualify for Radiance.

There are different offers going live all the time. If you don't see any value in it for yourself, then I recommend skipping this one.

An event behind a paywall is always a red flag about the game's future plans. Even if it costs 0.1€, it doesn't matter.

We can only hope that this will be the last Pay2Play event we'll ever see again.

My bigger concern is with how this is being presented to us and shoved down our throats. I don't want to be met with a giant red box telling me to buy something or that I didnt buy something every time I go to one of the most accessed menus in the game. This is not okay

I don't want to spend $10 right now, and this offer isn't tempting me or giving me FOMO.

Would people prefer that there was something super valuable for $10 being offered today?

Are these the complaints of spenders? Yet these same people also complain when the game leans towards P2W.

the rewards are **** but thats not the point. It gives them access hard paywall events in future. If you are getting annoyed with oh 10$ event dont buy **** rewards not the point. Learn to think ahead like a company does. This is a bait to see how many people like this. Social experiment basically. You have stores,battlepasses, tracks etc. Why do you want to paywall events? I hope Kabam does not apply this in future.

What would be the difference of selling an event or just selling the items? Actually selling the event is worse cause they have to do stuff to get things they paid for. Kinda like going to Korean BBQ for the first time and finding out you are paying at a restaurant to cook your own meal.

F2P players are worth a social study or experiment. When they achieve something they wear it as a cape or an honor badge and flaunt it. When they see something behind money all of the sudden they act as if they were born without both arms and feel discriminated.

Truly do not get why everyone here seems to be freaking out so hard. Kabam puts out garbage offers all the time. Don’t buy ‘em. No FOMO when everyone agrees that the rewards offered are terrible.

A lot of people seem to be tying themselves into knots about how this isn’t about the deal itself but “the precedent“ that Kabam might “paywall” future stuff… as if this isn’t functionally identical to a battlepass. You know, like the one that started just a few days ago for 7* Kitty Pryde. Those battlepasses we’ve had for like 2 years now and have, by most metrics, been popular and successful. Complain if you think that those suck, but Kabam isn’t breaking into new territory or testing the waters. They’re just adding more of the same.

This paid event feature is common in many games, not supportive of such feature to be clear

I think Kabam is just testing this function for now, collecting data etc

Expect paid event in future that has awesome rewards only for spending players

I do t have a problem with paying for bonus rewards like this but this offer is just so bad it’s embarrassing. There no value at all and nothing exciting everyone don’t have coming off banquet. Give some real value if you actually want to make money of an offer like this.

Then what are you doing here? Genuinely. If this is your level of tolerance for gacha shenanigans then you should’ve swore off MCoC long ago. They’ve done far worse than this offer, and probably will continue to do so. I’m not here to tell you that you’re wrong for disliking all the gambling and dark patterns and whatnot, I think most of us are aware that we’re partaking in a bit of a vice by playing a gacha. But if an optional battlepass with terrible, skippable rewards is already hitting your standard of evil then I couldn’t possibly imagine how you can continue to support this game by playing it.

And for the record, because I’m sure your next response will be some level of “ur just defending this bc ur a brainwashed whale who’s sunk too much into gachas”, this is the only gacha game I play and I’m entirely FtP.

As a f2p I love bad value deals, they let my roster stay somewhat competitive. But I dislike the visuals of it so much! I disliked the redesign a long time ago, and I hate how the events occupy so much screen space. I hate annoying offers notifications numbers appearing every time I ever the game, I hate the tracks notifications and annoying things you claim to collect rewards from those, I hate constant pop ups every time you end some quests. But that red line in top of the event tab is hideous, it's... not worse then numbers, but definitely lame. Give it different background or something, but please remove it. Or even better, make those events foldable. But probably not gonna happen, given how long will the other issues exist. These things are probably the second thing that makes me avoid using the game (first is lack of content)

Am I missing something, it’s $10 for a very, very limited amount of rewards, pretty much completely negligible. Unless I’m missing something, this month is kind of amazing. Free Rhino, $25 dollar 7 star Kitty Pryde, half a rank 5 7 star (and all the other amazing rewards in there) in, let’s be honest, very simple if a bit repetitive content (solo-colosseum) this has been a very good time in the game. I could be wrong though so no shade of course.

It’s industry standard by now

Meaning exclusive event with entry price, you get points for playing and you get the rewards based on the points

It’s different from events where you spend units to get points like banquet
