Incursions Write Up

Yo! I've seen a surprisingly amount of posts here about trouble getting to Zone 15 for the Star-Lord piece so I figured I'd do this write up for the people who don't usually play Incursions or are having trouble with it. This was my run and it worked, so apologies if it's not the most full proof plan, but I also think this is one of the best set ups in Incursions. This a copy and paste from a previous post.

-Max 6 star Aegon out and max sig him. He can solo the whole thing and will be the sole focus in the whole run.

-Only use him so you can build your combo to 1000 faster. I'd even take advantage of the Star-Lord synergy so you can protect your combo if you get hit.

-Grab Second Chance Boss Hack which prevents you from being knocked out by giving you a passive Indestructible and a Fury every time you get hit while its active.

-Grab Mutually Assured Destruction so you can regen everytime you hit an enemy with a special.

-So, Zone 1-5 is gonna be slow, Mutually Assured Destruction won't really do much as well but can heal you up a bit, just focus on building to 1000 Persistent Charge.

-Other hacks include: Buff Cornucopia, the one where you gain attack for each buff, the other regen Boss Hack where you Heal Block on second medium… I don't really remember the other ones. But Second Chance, Mutually Assured Destruction and Buff Cornucopia is a MUST.

-By the time you have over 400 combo and you activate Second Chance, take a combo to the face so you can gain Fury and get stronger attack. That way, when you throw a special attack 1 with Aegon, you will heal all the way up to full health.

-Pro Tip: Kind of lousy but as far as I know it's within the game and isnt really an exploit, so who cares; If you activate the Second Chance and by some reason you know you're gonna get KO'd before the Indestructible runs out, PAUSE THE GAME AND CLOSE THE APP. You will come back into the game with half your health. Which wont matter with Mutually Assured Destruction because you will be healing a ton by now when in hard zones. This has saved me a bunch of revives...

-I'd also grab the Boss Hack that makes you immune to Bleed and Poison, this Incursions is notorious for having enemies with Biohazard node, but won't really matter much later when Aegon can just Purify debuffs.

-By the time he's above 750 combo, along with Second Chance and Mutually Assured Destruction and tha pause method you literally won't die.

Let me know if there's any more info or tips to discuss. This is actually the easiest incursions event ever, so don't overthink stuff. Just stick with the plans above.

Forgot to add, since I see a lot of hate on the revives which I agree with: If you somehow need to revive and youre in later zones with a high combo, get a combo in and TAKE a combo or 2 to the face and throw a SP1. With Mutually Assured Destruction you'll be at full health lol

Everyone knows it ( many youtubers also use it ), but we don't talk about it.

Just as we don't talk about Hulk being a part ( leader infact ) of a certain club.

alternatively, use bullseye with the hack that gives you power stings for bleeds.

Medusa is also great for robot bosses.

works great until rm 14 and you get an Ultron boss that heals and has tenacity :( every dex heals him. Tenacity shrugs off so much of the hacks….road blocked I think…

Nothing survived spider woman's sp2 sp1, or sinister 2 sp1s. Second chances reached once on a zone 13 rhino as I was just having fun and taking fights without reding nodes at that point.

I don't use buff corn and I never will.

I don't take the combo ender debuff (shock/incin) or bleed on parry hack ever.

I'm planning to run it till 25, 2-3 zones a day. but I don't know how many zones have artifact rewards.

99% sure these gon expire.

I saw it and just laughed. Nice slef trap right there.

It took 9 zones to get 3 mystic charges fir him and still ended up with 3 science ones which are worthless. Sw was the main runner tho.

You don't know the half of it... I kept on fighting and wondering wtf was going on, after i realized my F up, I did another fight spamming sp2s to heal back to 100% before switching champs. Then I asked myself why the hell i did the 2nd fight instead of going in with a new one and healing back that one from the boss hack 🤦

It wasn’t particularly difficult with Sinister, Kingpin, and Dark Phoenix with mutually assured destruction, buff cornucopia, tide of combat, and second chance. If Dark Phoenix should ever get KO’d, she heals back to full during her death immunity phase. She also owns Ultron consistently. I probably used Sinister more than anyone else though.

I don't think I can do 2 runs. One run, yes but doubt 2.

impossible to say for sure, but I suspect some of the time people are stuck because they’ve overindexed to regen / sustainability hacks instead of damage. There’s not always a perfect matchup for a certain boss if they’ve got nodes giving them regen or protection or some other frustrating thing. You just have to be able to out damage the nodes.

If you’re playing well, you shouldn’t need more than one regen hack and you can put out everything else toward damage.

My guess is the exact opposite. You can't have too much Regen, but you can have too little (which is none).

Are you talking about buffet? Buffet nullifies a buff and gives them a regen. Tenacity gives them purify chance which doesn't seem like it would roadblock aegon

No, you'll be able to buy the pieces later with units most likely. If you can do it once, I dont see why you couldn't a second time. If you get stuck just retry. Incursions requires a good start but once you're in later zones with the right hacks you're cheesing most of it.

I'm giving up altogether. I did another run to Room 12, and I'm not losing anymore energy over it. I've had to revive a few times, which was fine. Seeing the gauntlet was a bit of a disappointment, and the idea I'll have to do it again next week, the hell with that. I'll buy the piece. Not enjoyable for me in the least.

Bullseye and SW with power sting hack...kabam made incursion easy to give 8 boss hack in which 4 you can from the list...4 would be chosen from 3 random hack..idk why some players are struggling to do it...even 6* can do it easily...

If you have aegon, use him or angela+odin, the og's cheese it. I tried 2 times witht he new 7* etc but 3rd run i did with aegon and cheesed it. No revives or potions. Till 450 combo its a bit stressfull, then its fine. Look put for one eye open node mainly, other main hacks ypu already know like second chance etc...best of luck, u got this...

I used Aegon, as well as Scream R4, which was quite a power house with Buff Cornucopia and Sting from Bleed. I could have very well revived where I was at. I'm just disenchanted from the whole thing honestly. I don't have the patience for it. Much less another run next week.

I'll do the Rhino Objectives for it, that's about it. Thank you for the suggestion and encouragement though. :)

You can have any champion and go through zones easily, but if you get unlucky in zone 13, 14 or 15 and you get certain combinations of nodes on Ultron boss, you won't be able to get through no matter what champion you have. It's a fact and it happened to many people, which makes this incredibly frustrating. Not a good design, they shouldn't have put that last star lord piece in a zone 15 if it can be dependent on pure luck!

Revives are ridiculously expensive and give you barely any health in return. There have been a lot of players here who had to spend thousands of units to get that last piece. Not to mention if you give up in zone 14 or so, you lost 2 hours of your time at least and gotta do it again, because you have other star lord pieces you have been collecting for months.

How is this fun? How is this fair?

Bro yoh used aegon but didn't use rage into combat (power gain on fury). This can't be real. He can easily stun lock permanently withthat hack. Rage into combat, 2 combos, sp3, repeat.

It’s not too bad until you get to zones 11 to 15, where the difficulty really ramps up with Ultron boss. Some node combination were quite punishing such as power gain, unstoppable and evade. Glad it’s done and dusted

Just finished it, across several days, many breaks inbetween, and constantly close/reopen every 2-3 fights to help prevent game lag crashing (and even then it still crashed a few times).

Did use several Revives because device is not very good for game anymore and so plenty of glitches/lags and getting hit when I shouldn’t (so even with the keep-alive Hack and Synergy) and other mixups. But at least you don't need to worry about using HEAL POTIONS, just a simple Revive.

**SILK as Primary (and after few zones, the ONLY attacker)

with Angela-Hela team JUST for the keep-alive, although started out initially with Odin just to apply Pre-Fights on Silk, then swap to Angela-Hela pair. (Used them both up fairly early on whatever initially difficult fight there was, and then just kept them KO the rest of way so the keep-alive is guaranteed, unless Nodes prevent it). I know Angela is also a good primary option, but my Hacks were all for Silk, so just wanted the additional keep-alive.

Hacks were the already mentioned Second Chance, some Healing hacks, Fury related ones, and ones extending Buff/Debuff or strength.

(For those newer or unfamiliar with Silk, those especially combine with her applying tons of non-damaging debuffs, so you inherit a lot of Fury’s as a result when those non-damaging debuffs of hers expire).

Also picked both the Shock and Bleed on 2nd Medium's, as an afterthought (wasn’t really better choices on their Random sets), but they ended up helping GREATLY all on their own (without other custom built hacks, or using a proper Bleed champ). **until you got to Zone 11-15 Ultron Bosses (then the Bleed/Shock only helped on the fights before getting to Ultron).
