UNRANKED MATCH BGs

With the new meta starting today, I wanted to test a couple of champs to see if they work so, I did an UNRANKED match.

To my surprise, it's the victory track, not the current gladiator circuit.

What's the point?!?!?

Why would I want to wait 10 minutes for a match and play for another 10 on a meta that's not the current one?

Bcos it's never meant as a practice mode for GC, it's more like a substitute for VT but without the rewards

The meta is victory track meta

Even GC week 1 and 2 meta is slightly different from VT meta

You can test GC meta using friendly match as you can choose which meta you want to fight

the off season is your chance to test metas, not when the season is live

That's the thing: during offseason we don't test metas because the option we have is to test the victory track, so we don't have gladiator circuit.

Why would I want to play victory track now?

Sure, I could, but it's very hard to find friends online when I want to play. That's my problem, I know.

Still, why would anyone want to play unranked victory track matches at this point of season when we have the offseason to do it?

I recall Mike saying during livestream that the goal was to be able to play matches without losing your points.

If it's not the same meta, there's no reason to play it. He even mentioned not being able to find friends online.

Say we have the option to choose what meta for unranked matchmaking

Den we have 3 meta available, VT, GC week 1&2, GC week 3&4

Den you might have the problem of getting matches after waiting for a very long time bcos no human is queuing for unranked

So the problem isn’t exactly solved, it simply becomes a new problem in another form

But I don't wanna choose, I want to train/play the current meta, against a stranger, without losing points and be able to test other champs that I'm not sure will work.

Not everyone is at GC, some players are at VT so Kabam has to create a separate queue for VT and GC

It’s technically possible to do that but Kabam has to invest resources to develop that

Not saying that’s a bad idea, it’s a good suggestion for Kabam

I don’t hear many players ask for it though, there are only this many GC players per season

unranked is for players who can't make it to GC

they can practice & also get there daily objectives done

for GC - battle in GC

Unranked isn't a practice mode. It's a mode for lower level players to get a feel for or players that don't want to bother with the main mode to play without the grind or stress.

Me who did unranked for the objetives and didn't wanna brainstorm deck building cuz of the meta change.
