Pre Release Deals (PLEASE READ!)
Kabam…. I am a whale. I simply am. And I am probably one of your biggest pre release whales in the game. Really anytime that a champ comes out that I really want, I will chase it. And before the “grandmasters grace” was implemented, I used to CHASE. Spiderwoman resulted in roughly $7,100 USD to pull. Jean Grey was around $4-5,000. I have opened thousands of your valiants that you put for sale, and I feel like I finally earned the right to just make a post about this.
I love the game and love the new champ additions, they are awesome, but….
I think there are several issues with your pre releases, and it is to the point where I am going to completely stop spending unless changes are made.
#1. The New Grandmasters Grace with the New First Appearance “Shinys” make 0 sense.
A player can simply use 300 units on a crystal, and pull a shiny featured champ (if they are unbelievably lucky). However, I can spend $1,000 and get a **NORMAL** M’baku, or (whoever may be featured). That is me simply donating your company $1k USD for some ISO, and a champ that I can get for free in the next Titan pool. Please, please, please, make the guarantee a shiny, or better yet… something even better?! How does $1,000 result in basically nothing? Dracula was the exact same way for me, spent up to $1,000, and no shiny. Just a champ that you can not even tell apart from the others once they drop in the titan.
#2. The drop rates are absolutely terrible and also make no sense.
You have a “featured crystal” for a pre release on a new individual champ, but today i opened 120 valiants roughly, getting almost 11 or 12 7 stars I believe, and none of them were M’Baku. This is the last thing any whale/player on this game wants, I can promise you that. It is a slap in the face seeing 7 star borders and it is just champs from the basic.
This has been reoccurring for all of my pre release openings. ONLY ONE TIME HAVE I EVER GOTTEN THE “FEATURED” champ from the first FOUR $100 deals in the store.
#3. If anything, if you pull the champ from the pre release crystals, so let’s say M’Baku, have him be original, and then the $1,000 guarantee, a shiny?
I think anything besides what is currently in place, would make a significant change in how many people indulge on the pre release deals. Because right then and there, when you get to the $1,000 mark like myself, you mostly just feel defeated for not getting what is actually worth it.
And lastly, #4. The Offers.
After the first 4 $100 deals, you are left having to buy 6 valiants for $50.00 USD with a 0.3% chance of ever pulling M’Baku anyways. After looking at the numbers, and then the amount of 7 *s you get that ARENT the featured champ, it is just excruciating.
Overall, I love the game and do not want to stop playing and supporting. Please keep doing what you’re doing. BUT, please think of a change or fix for the current system in place for Pre Releases. It is a really rough feeling spending thousands of dollars, never achieving the desired pull, and just repeating the process haha. I just wish my M’baku had some sparkles to him to separate him from the thousands that will be seen next month or whenever he is in the titan.
