Colliseum alliance rewards

Has anyone encountered this situation: I joined an alliance after the start of an allied conflict, it is displayed for me, but I cannot participate. Will I receive allied rewards after it ends or not?

You have to join before it starts to participate. You have to participate to get rewards. So unfortunately you will not get rewards from this cycle of coliseum.

The ingame mail said it in big bold to join an alliance before it starts. I accidently read the last mail.
