Why do you need to complete classic FIRST in order to access elder difficulty in EQ?

Why don't they give u the option like original EQ format. Is this just another way to waste the players time and energy. If one wanted to do classic initial completion in one go think how much quest energy that uses in the first place. Anyone know what the reasons are why they've done it like that cos it just seems stupid

not really it was like had to do 1 run before you can enter any other chapter even in story it’s always been that way even in eq

EQ NOT story. Previous EQ let u choose the difficulty from start. I'm asking the question why they made it the way it is now
