There’s a moment when you stop asking “what did I do wrong?” and start asking “why was this unwinnable?” Battlegrounds and the Crossbones Coliseum both seem to cross that line too often.

Yes of course it is "just a game" but when you are constantly trying to enjoy it and have a genuinely good time and again "play the game" every time you do you feels like the rug and rules ripped out from under you like playing with an unfair DM. The game is only ever occasionally fun dragging me back in only to soon provide stress and frustration like a toxic spouse. It is not a game that I want to play or recommend any one else play either. Especially when you are rewarded for spending instead of investing your time playing.

I feel that people who pay aren´t the losers here.

You miss the deeper point. Crossbones in Coliseum punishes players who lack the right counters, just like Battlegrounds punishes players with underdeveloped rosters.

Not every game mode is for every player and if you cant do 1bar on Xbones that clearly isnt for you. I dont get why people constantly cry ab this game calling it whatever and still play it. If its stressful, toxic, a pain to play etc etc just delete it and do something else. No one is forced to play and/or spend. Its your choice.

Look at it this way. You face Crossbones with a roster missing the right counter like Kushala, Wong, Northstar etc. and suddenly one health bar at a time becomes a nightmare. Each run costs 25 energy, 80 bars to clear, roughly 2000 energy or 28 plus refills or 840 units worth. That’s not about skill anymore.

As PuppetMaster has said, no every game is for every player. And I´m also tired of crybabies.

In Batteglounds are you pushing for ceelestial 1? It is normal face more developed rosters. You can see small acounts (wiouth r4s) in gladiator circuit, the "his account is bigger than mine" is not a excuse nowadays. Even brasilian fish monkey gets gladiartor circuit lol. You have to learn that your acount and your skill are the factors that will determine where you have to finish the season.

And Crossbones, you have more o less 5 decent counters and you can use 6 stars but sure that you don´t want to "wastle" resources on a 6 stars. It is easy in two weeks ascend a decent 6 stars to do Crossbones and at least do 2 or 3 bar with a R5 ascended 6 stars. This impies to try it again and again, including the energy refills that we get every day but is easier come here to complain.

We I was growing my acount i used to like this kind of a challenges where i couldn´t finish and I tried to become better and get very month further. Now i only see people crying in the forums.

If you aren´t able to get and ascend a decent counter as a 6 stars in two weeks, Coliseum isn´t for you.

With the energy refill that you get every day from SDE and the normal energy you can do 5-6 attemps for free every day.

Again, instead of complain fully ascend a 6* and you will see that without skill you can do 2 or 3 bars.

"5 to 6 attempts a day for free” sounds good until you remember that’s the same energy used for EQ and Daily Quests. Spending 125-150 energy a day on Crossbones means you’re sacrificing progress everywhere else.

Are you getting the same rewards everywhere else? I know a guy who ranked 6* wong to do this fight. Resource management falls upon the players and has to decide what they want.

No amount of complaints will make kabam reduce difficulty of solo coliseum,its a fact. this is presented as an avenue to acquire the most endgame'st' rewards as possible for this time period. They have already nerfed the node by taking out biohazard and regen on blocked hits from last eop.

For context, I’ve already cleared all 80 health bars on Crossbones and put up 240 points in Solo Coliseum, so this isn’t coming from someone who couldn’t complete it. I had to rank 5 and ascend a 6 star Kushala to do so, which cost a lot of gold and resources. If I’d had a high-sig 7 star Kushala, this would’ve been much quicker.

That’s why I sympathize with players who don’t even have a viable 6 star counter.

After this, I’m not exactly looking forward to seeing what Kabam throws at us with The Destroyer. I’m personally not ranking anyone for the next nine days until we know who actually works. Hopefully I’ll have a 7 star option ready so I don’t have to burn more resources on another 6 star.

PS: @SirGamesBond: Difficulty doesn’t need to be lowered to be well designed. The Void fight proved that. Crossbones pushed far beyond that balance.

If you ranked up a 6* and you cleared it then what's the issue. Do you think everyone who is at engame progression were handed counters for free?

This is not the first time this kind of content has been made available. I have ranked plethora of champs to do fights and objectives. I used 5* AA last time epoch moleman was the eop boss, I used 6r1 storm px for a dani moonstar objective. Go try all those eop fights like xbones scoepion peni icarus terrax dragonman modok etc with 6r2.

Endgamer status in not serverd on a silver platter. Every single player had to make choices. It's a roster check and a skill check.

Well designed in players terms is vanilla fights, we will not see those. Im sure you are praising void fight because you had chee or one of the other options ranked up, if you didn't had one, you would be here complaining about ranking a 6* chee.

even with min 2-3 years of grinding u will never be satisfied as BG is more important than main story(initially I joined & loved the game) & u can't reach 30 top champs .
bugs & grindy mode will frustrate

play another game which I recommend

play finish it get satisfied then move on to another game

You don´t understand that if you don´t have any 6* viable counter this kind of content isn´t for you. If you really are a endgame player, it´s impossible that you don´t have any of those 6 or 7 viable counters at least as 6*.

This rewards are the best right now so those who don´t have the right champs they should focus on get more 6* and develor the acount before doing this kind of content.

How did the void fight proved anything? It was the most vanilla and basic fight of all of them...

This game seriously needs a reboot, a new gate or something at this point. Bunch of people Raid is trash, Colosseum is hard, Alliance Coloseum is ridiculous, EQ is too hard, SQ is too hard, BGs are too hard, it costs too much energy, it costs too many revives, it costs too many HP pots!

A new gate would lock people out from some content and at least they won't complain and ruin it for others.

Because this is one of the most entitled communities when it comes down to rewards. They see a quest, they see the rewards and automatically think they should be able to get it because they can enter the quest. Look at this thread itself. Look at the rewards in Solo Coloseum, people are talking about about wasting resources to rank up a 6* to be able to get the rewards. The rewards are for example a 7R4 GEM!! and they complain about ranking up a 6* for it!

Totally agree. Nowadays everybody is complaining and we will finish doing all content in autofight.

They have transferred the "BG problem" into every other game mode except for EQ since it has a prestige based reward. Everyone is playing for the same rewards, even if there is a 10k prestige gap. A prestige gap didn't mean anything when it was top 5, but its huge when its top 30. Add insult they left all content gate to progression title. They need to start gating top content to an X prestige level now. Doesn't make sense that a 20k prestige roster gets the same rewards as a 30k, or even that a 20k thinks he will be doing the content in a easy way.

A lot of the replies here seem to be coming from the same blind spot, which is assuming that any criticism automatically equals entitlement or a refusal to invest in roster development. That’s not my point.

Endgame players have always ranked champions and committed resources for specific fights. No one is asking for counters to be handed out, and no one is arguing that endgame should be easy.

Saying “if you don’t have the right 6* counter, this content isn’t for you” only makes sense when content is clearly gated. Solo Coliseum is not. It allows players to enter, then steadily consumes large amounts of time and resources before making it clear how limited the options actually are.

The comparison to the Void fight isn’t about it being “vanilla” or easier. It’s about design range. Void was demanding, punished mistakes, and still allowed multiple approaches. Crossbones sharply reduces that flexibility.

It’s also disingenuous to frame this as a handful of forum users being salty when similar concerns about Solo Coliseum and Alliance Coliseum have been raised by long-time endgame players and prominent creators like Seatin and RichTheMan. When feedback is coming from across the player base, dismissing it as “crying” stops being a counter-argument.

This is not an argument against difficulty or endgame progression. It is an argument for proportion and sustainability.
