Free passing cosmic BG

Oh well with 5 bans and a 40 champ deck with this mystique node. everybody is gonna ban Kushala/Spiral/Nico/Pav/Shatra. So Dthanos Dphoenix Serpent have free passing true. I wonder wich megamind came up with this node for this amount of
bans 😅

They forgot to add a white list so that players can’t ban for example 2 mystiques that counters those Cosmic OP defenders

@TotemCorruption thats not the point the point is they can also ban all your tech counters for Domino or cap britain 5 bans is to much because certain defenders dont have that many counters ingame. they should make a white list

If this actually becomes the meta it's great for creative deckbuilding.

Exclude these mystics and cosmics from your deck, ban all the cosmics you mention, and throw in a few extra science attackers. Now your opponent has a mitt full of dead mystics. Or fill your deck with tech defenders and now your opponent has lost most of their cosmic counters.

This kind of meta shakeup would be a great result to this experiment.

This is actually a very interesting and informed take. I would like it if things play out this way or closer to a way where everyone doesn't always just use the top 5 in every class all the time

this is the fastest way to get absolutely destroyed. If I see a deck with no cosmics and mystics. Im sending you to Valhalla with either quintuple tech ban or Quintuple mutant ban then placing yelena, attuma, bullseye, domino, brit.

Just load up on mystics. But I do like the idea of being able to white list 2 champs, it would help out lower players because then Atleast they have access to some of their top champs.

I have talked about experimentation a lot, but we experiment a lot less on our production builds than almost any other successful mobile game. We for instance very rarely split test things on end-game players, most other mobile games do it liberally. I think we have a more thoughtful approach.

If you genuinely think this is a good idea that the majority of players will like, I'm honestly curious to hear why.

I'm not sure how in a time where some defenders require more specific counters than ever, where you're already limited to attacker options based on draft RNG, and rerolls are already limited to buying them and are still RNG, that you feel increasing the pool to draft from (decreasing odds of drafting a specific option you're looking for), increasing the bans (making it easier to completely remove a set of counters for a set of defenders), and then sprinkling in allowing a reroll per round now (as long as you're still willing to buy them), is a move that the majority of the playerbase is going to find enjoyable.

I dunno what to tell you, maybe you guys should try what other gaming companies are doing instead of being the pioneers of a new way. Sometimes you guys seem allergic to positive feedback and do the conplete opposite of what people like.

This sidequest is a primary example. Apparently mike said a lot of people liked the 1st version, not sure why you guys went on an wasted time on modifying it into this.

Positive or negative feedback or experience is scary at this moment of the game since no matter what it seems to change into something worse.

This is a death sentence for smaller rosters, they are going to start filling the gaps with champs that don't work or don't use.

I mentioned it on another thread, It was funny to see people with Cull Obsidian in GC, with absolute no value on defense or attack. It was funnier to see it when they were part of a horrible draw due to RNG.

You know what. I can admit when I was actually legitimately tweaking.

They updated the announcement post at least TWICE since I posted this comment and I fully take it back.

If the basics can't even be communicated or decided on and stuck to properly then I highly doubt this was a change that was thought through, fleshed out, and tested to even have this be an informed theoretical. It now looks to be an ideal based on a hope and dream

A good idea in theory, but I don’t think every player has a roster that’s expansive enough to do that. I don’t remember who suggested it, but someone on here offered the idea that this new format only applies once a player reaches GC, and I think that’s a better way to go about this. Everyone in VT just wants to get out of VT as fast as possible, but GC is where the real competitive climbing happens. Needing to abide by this format in VT would make it feel like more of a slog, while having it in GC might actually result in creative strategies and real engagement with the format.
